Here, on Paragon's new site, we have a section for Paragon member/special blogger blog entries. So far we've been able to read the thoughts of Hermanni, Kruf and arx. These blogs are one of the best ways to get inside our members' heads (so to speak) and read what goes on in their minds; what they think is important, and what others should pay attention to while they play in Paragon. So if you haven't already taken a look at those, we engourage you to go the the blog section and read around. The entries are after all for you - our readers.
There was a short discussion on our forums regarding the difficulty between 10-man and 25-man raids a few months before Cataclysm where I posted the following:
Even though I have faith that the dev team knows how to make 10s hard, I have a feeling they don't really want to go there. The hard stuff would have to be brutally tightly tuned, limiting the experience to even fewer people than in 25s. Harder than now - definitely - but I simply don't see a lot of benefit in going all-out, and I doubt they do either.
So I've been asked to participate in a seminar this weekend where the topic is the "value of research."
Disclaimer: I posted the original version of this to MMO-Champion forums to Stars' thread about their heroic Cho'gall kill and their comments. Pretty wild accusations were flying around and I thought I'd post some of my views. The post was soon lost to 18 pages and a lock on the thread hence I was told to re-post it in here where it's more in place.
So I've been thinking lately about how living in WoW raidingland requires accepting and participating in a lot of change--all the time. We have to change our boss fight strategies, change our specs, change our spell rotations, change our gear (I don't know about you, but I always get a little emotional during levelling when I have to go from all epic to a green/blue mix--purple just looks so much prettier on me). I mean even our software and hardware has to change. And every single blasted expansion, they make us change our "hang out" city.
Hi everyone!
Tonight Xenophics and I posted the news about my research on the main page of Paragon.fi and man alive did that create an upsurge of respondents! In one day the project have gotten 230 more respondents and it is now at a total of 850 respondents! Thanks everyone that have joined this far and I hope you all have found the survey interesting!
NOTE: I know it’s been almost a month since I posted the first part of the Personality Test Results, but with Cataclysm, another deadline to complete, and Christmas in the way, it’s taken a while to finish this! Sorry for the delay. But hey! Maybe this will be interesting reading as you grind mats for your new raiding gear…? :)
Merry Christmas everyone! For me, and as I expect for lots of other people, the Christmas holiday represents one of the finest opportunities to play one of the best games ever, namely World of Warcraft!
I assume you're all tracking it, too--the ups and downs of raid progress at the top. Not all of us are raiding yet but we're close to starting, even if we're not quite there yet. But some of us are already making our way through the heroic modes (well, technically only four guilds have done that so far...). I have to admit I've been quite excited by the progress so far; I keep checking the Web site and sometimes gasp at the dramatic shift over the course of the day!
