  • So the boss is dead, what now?

    So, the boss is now dead. What happens now? As most of you know, we want to respect the race by not releasing anything related to our strategy before world second kill. This means we won't publish the kill video, tactics guide, meters, or Bigwigs mods just yet, but we'll do that in the future.

    We've also planned on writing something blog-like about the work we did to get the kill. It still feels like it's hard to know what you actually want to see. So please tell us what we should talk about, what you'd like to know about the past race and we'll try to work on that.

  • Server failure

    Saturday morning we had to bury our old faithful web server, after what seems to be a hardware failure claimed it to wherever it is machines go when they die.

    Unfortunately, without us noticing, the same failure corrupted the last few daily backups, rendering them unusable. We've had to rollback the site to a full copy from 23.6.. That means that whatever you did on the site after 23.6. is most likely unrecoverable, if it isn't already recovered. This includes new user registrations, forum posts, profile changes, comments, and so forth.

  • Don't worry, be heroic

    After seeing the updates on the Paragon Facebook and Twitter I felt the need and urge to make a short blog post to all of you who seem to be worried regarding the apparently slacking progress of the guild.

    As of now Paragon, your most liked and beloved group of Finns since the Leningrad Cowboys, only has downed 2 out of the 7 bosses. What does that mean? Have they caught some weird disease that came over from DreamHack? Or maybe all decided to give WoW the finger and rather enjoy the sun, drink or dive for golf balls to make some extra money?

  • Firelands today - Paragon's thoughts just hours before patch

    Only a handful of hours to go before 4.2 hits live and we'll start off with the normal modes. I talked to Jubeto, arx, Smirk, Lazei, and Jhazrun and asked them about their expectations on Firelands just before the h-hour.

     

    Firelands is coming tomorrow, what are your expectations?

    Jubeto: I'm expecting us to clear the normal modes in 2 days. The hard mode mechanics didn't seem so hard and I'm hoping we can clear the content in 2 weeks. I'm slightly worried about the Legboss and Ragnaros' last phase, it seemed pretty hard even in the normal mode.

  • Firelands is coming, are you ready?

    So, it's progress time just behind the corner again. Patch 4.2 with Firelands will hit the servers tomorrow in Europe and Paragon will start preparing for hard modes by clearing normal modes.

    This allows TotalBiscuit to do a commentary of this raid as well, and you won't have to choose between us and the SC2 finals.

  • Dreamhack schedule

    We'll be raiding live from Dreamhack at the SteelSeries booth on Sunday and Monday. We're trying to fix a stream for anyone who isn't at ground zero, so stay tuned!

    Below is the schedule for the main events:

    Sunday: 19:00 - 22:00 (best estimate, depends on the SC2 schedule)

    Monday: 16:30 - 18:30 (edited for SC2 finals)
