  • Trialing and Membering

Hello everybody. My nick is Yliajo and I’m one of the newest members of DREAM Paragon. I’m 24 and currently studying Information Technology and should be soon to be finishing my studies. Games have always been close to my heart. Before WoW I played warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne/DOTA, and of course, Diablo 2. Then a lot of people were switching to WoW and I also made that transition starting with US open beta and basically have been on that road from that moment on.

  • What it's like joining Paragon?

Before Paragon I had spent my whole WoW career on Twisting Nether. I started raiding mid-Burning Crusade and by the time WotLK was released I was running my own guild with 20some finns in it. International guild of course, but with heavily finnish core.

After recruiting Jobim The Guild Destroyer I merged with the same core to another guild on my server and we managed to reach the wowprogress top20 page shortly after ( coincidentally thanks to Paragon and especially Anaram sharing the secrets about Anub with us at a party ).

  • Skull of Gul'dan lorecorner - War of the Ancients trilogy

Now with the recent patchnotes for 4.3 were released containing information from the End Time, Hour of Twilight, Well of Eternity, and of course the Dragon Soul, I thought I'd get this started. And I'm talking about hc lore. Even when my guild mates tease me with comments like "make sure you don't watch the rp during the quest line, we won't wait", I'm the kind of player that enjoys the story part of World of Warcraft as well.

  • Pizza, mountain dew, and nachos....

Crumbs strewn over his stale t-shirt; crumpled cans of energy drink lay about; you can see evidence in the gamer's beady eyes of the early onset of sugar/salt-related dementia; the requisite unmade bed sits in the background... the gamer begins to resemble his food: beige, tasteless, and incoherent.

Or are we? Obviously the afore-posted video is an example of a stereotype on steroids. Sure some of us might let the deskspace get a little messy... or even resort to what's known as board chow (http://www.inktank.com/files/comics/2001-04-04-board-chow.gif) from time to time. Yes, that's what you get when you turn your keyboard over and shake out the crumbs (?). I suppose you could call it a kind of cooking.

  • Are you going to eat that...?

So DREAM Paragon and I are cooking up a fun little social experiment... all about what you like to eat and drink during a raid. :)

So to get us started, please go and participate in my two drink/food polls on my research blog. I'll post the next stage of our little participatory experiment later tonight... :)

Stay tuned and bring your appetites....
