Hi!
After watching your movie of your Cho'gall kill I got a question (questions :P). I might be way off here and it might be that the ability change in heroic mode, but I see you kite the Corrupting Adherent as soon as Cho'gall cast Fester Blood. I was under the impression that you needed to kill them before he casts this or they will start to cast a raidwide shadow aoe that cant be avoided.
I guess I was wrong in trying to understand the buff they gain when Cho'gall cast Fester Blood. Don´t they gain a buff? Or is the buff only increased dmg on the tank hence the kite? Or is it that you can outrange the aoe they do hence the kite?
If any of the above is true I see the value in not having all Darkened Creations spawn at the same time.
Last question is I clearly see the Shamans getting in position to deal with interrupting the Corrupting Adherents, I do however not see any dmg going out on them. After the kite they seem to die by dmg that Cho'gall puts out. Is this the case or did you kill em but with only dots?
I ask as we just started working on him in 10 man. We will test all of my questions the next time we go there but it will be at the end of the week, this is why I am asking!
Cheers and gratz on t1 Cataclysm
Corrupting Adherent in the Cho'gall encounter

The Fester Blood will cause the Adherents to bleed out themselves, and they will die after a while depending on how much health they had left to begin with. This made them constantly cast a shadow AoE with about 20 yard radius that also caused heavy corrupted blood, and after they died they would spawn Blood of the Old God on that spot. However the AoE cast by the adherents was changed to infinite radius in last patch so we had to re-work our tactics. So now you actually have to kill them before Fester Blood casts or they will hurt your raid.

It was actually crap ton easier just killing them, rather than everyone dodging the Adherents, dodging Shadow Crash and having the adds spawn in multiple waves.
The design of the encounter just seemed to indicate we're not supposed to "waste" that much time DPS on the Adherents, as they're going to be bled out anyway. Funny how much more DPS we were able to put out on the boss though after we stopped dodging the crashes with the whole raid.
