Greetings,
This is my first time posting on Paragon's forums. I've been playing since WoW was released, and always been interested in following the top guilds and their progression as a means of helping my own smaller guilds succeed. Now there's a ton of fanboys out there and a ton more haters, and while I'm certainly not the latter, I will neither try not to come across as the former. I simply want to extend my congratulations on your guild's accomplishments. I realize a LOT of time, research, and lost hours of sleep have went into attaining your goals. If I were to make a statement in your defense, it would be that I personally don't care how many druids you stacked on Nef; I'm more impressed at your guild's willingness to try whatever means necessary to get that first kill, even if it means swapping players in and out, asking players to master multiple class specs, or whatever the case may be. I'm not so cynical as to readily believe that a guild such as your own would willingly exploit anything and everything possible, knowing damn well Blizzard is watching your every attempt, and that you would eagerly make use of a game mechanic that would diminish the accomplishments you all have worked so hard to achieve and put your guild at risk of losing its credibility. I hear some would rather make mention of the certain tactics as merely "clever use of game mechanics", but quite frankly whatever happens, you are beating Blizzard's content live and with them watching. Blizzard will fix things as they see fit, and guilds like Paragon will continue to adapt and clear what Blizzard throws at them. Seriously, jealousy is the most useless of human emotions so on behalf of the community that would rather make forum posts diminishing your achievements, I apologize, and once again offer my congratulations.
On a side note...I've been playing a druid as my main since "vanilla". I had to do my respecs for MC and BWL, which didn't bother me much since then the Tier 1 and 2 only dropped +healing gear anyway. I was eventually lucky enough to find a 40-man raid guild (RIP Relentless Dawn) that allowed me to raid as an oomkin and kindly stuck me in a party with 4 eager mages who supplied me with enough major mana potions to chug every 3 mins so I could throw that innervate out on the priests and clothadins and still manage to do respectable dps. Now the state of balance has changed greatly, and I am glad I have stuck with it, and I thank Lappè and Xaar for their contributions to the moonkin community. It is nice to see that with the proper amount of effort and class know-how, balance druids can hit that upper-tier of dps and still manage to hold on to some measure of our raid utility (though I must say, i miss 5% crit aura and imp moonkin's 3% haste bonus).
Once again, congratulations and good luck with the hotfixes or whatever else Blizzard throws your way, and thanks for opening up your website to the WoW community as a whole.
