Question(s)! to moonkins.

Hey, I'm pretty unsure about the stuff below and I'd highly appreciate if you could share your knowledge on this matter! :)

1. How do you guys use Starfall on Omnotron boss in BD heroic? I never know when to use it, as I'm afraid to break the shield at offtanked boss and I've no clue how to check whether the offtanked boss has the shield still up or not. First starfall after the pull is obvious, later on not so much.

2. Secondly I'd like to know whether you've created some BiS list of your own. Is it more like whatever drops I take for progress' sake or you've more or less a BiS list in your head and collect stuff accordingly? If I understand correctly you aim for 4 tiers and chest from Magmaw/Omnotron?

3. Question similar to the first one. How do you handle starfall on fights like Conclave on air platform (unless you just kill and not kite the adds), Nefarian with adds up or Maloriak before the aoe phase. Do you starfall there at all or just wait till its gathered and whole raid AoEs?

4. Minor one but still. When you're at 10% to get Lunar eclipse and dot wears off, do you rather do moonfire now, or do one more wrath and then apply both dots? I know you send this link to EJ every time some1 asks for rotation, but do you find redotting at very last second of dots' duration better than putting it right after it drops?

5. Talent trees :) I've been comparing both of you guys, Methodish dude, Cuties only and so on and so forth. Basically everyone goes for something and I spent countless hours trying to figure out what to pick at cost of what :P Do you stick to the same spec at all times or you respec rather often? Also, do you switch primary glyphs at all anymore or stick to those 3 best ones atm?

6.Most important one, that I can nowhere find answer for. I noticed you dudes keep yourselves at rather low haste rate. Especially Xephros, as he's below 12% while I'm nearly 17% myself with 18,5% crit. I heard of some kind of hastecap for additional ticks but honestly I'm such a noob when it comes to theorycrafting I don't know anything in this matter. Is your haste lower because of this insane NoStatsGiving trinket from Council? Must be more than that ^^ If so, why? :)

Sorry for so many questions but since you guys really answer on 'em it looked like a great opportunity. Especially when I see movies of moonkins doing for example 1-2 wraths after Lunar procs, and yet they're above me dps wise : / I must be doing something very wrong.

1. prefer not to use it than wipe the raid for the sake of 700 dps

2. atm i have no bis list (and thats just because mastery gets buffed and some items in it might change)

3. trying to use it on adds but since they're dieing rather easily i cba to play with full effort

DoT Refreshing

Compared to WLK, our DoT's are far stronger now. You want to do your best to maintain very high uptime on both of them. Typically, the only time you will hold up recasting of a DoT is if it falls off and the corresponding Eclipse is coming up very soon--you'll wait one or two casts and refresh at the beginning of Eclipse. If both DoT's are coming up at around the same time when you start Eclipse, remember that Nature's Grace will only affect the second one, so you want to remember to use Insect Swarm first (because Moonfire/Sunfire is stronger than IS under either Eclipse).

Cataclysm changed the way DoT refreshing works--when you refresh a currently ticking DoT, you no longer waste a partial tick. Significantly, if you refresh a DoT when it has only one tick remaining, there is no loss at all. This means the optimal time to refresh a DoT is during its last tick, thereby maintaining true 100% uptime. Failing that, refresh at the same time you do now, as soon at it falls off.

DoT ticks use your spellpower, haste, and +% damage (e.g. Eclipse) values from the moment the DoT was cast--they do not update in real time until the next time you cast the DoT. Crit chance of the ticks, on the other hand, does change dynamically if you gain or lose crit buffs while the DoT is ticking.

5. trying out specific ones for specific fights that need survivability / aoe / single dps + just some mixed specs without that many mana talents to see if im able to fully nuke without going oom.

Lappé anwsered your other questions. I dont choose to have low haste rating, I just dont have the gear to have more. I have had to pick up what loot i get, and reforge it into haste.

I'll probably make another pack of questions sometime soon as I'm knowledge horny and mostly clueless on certain fights.
Would love if I could see moonkin numbers from some fights just to see whether I suck muchly or get close to yours.

Is the Single Target Rotation easy ? Well, im very afraid that i saw your high dps in raid with moonkin, and then i make just for Fun a Balance specc with 346er Average gear and only make 10k dps at the dummy.
Of course, my gear is Not like Yours, but 8k dps is pretty Low.
I cast my dots, SPAM wrath until a eclipse and then starfire, until ends. Is there a better Rotation ?
