So i have been looking into buying a darkmoon card tsunami and have realized it is one of the most expensive cards, for a holy pally i know that the doll for archeology is very nice, the trinket from Cho'gall is very nice and the Valor points trinket is very nice. is darkmoon card tsunami better then the trinkets i have previously mentioned, and if so do you believe it is worth buying it and if so will it last through the next tier level?

Averaged mp5 value of Int trinkets (based on my Int, ~5k):

Tyrande's doll (350 mp5)
Tsunami (~240 mp5)
Fall of Mortality (N) (~230 mp5 at best, may be much less depending on procs)
Core of Ripeness (~192 mp5 if used on cooldown)
Tear of Blood (~195 mp5)
Figurine - Dream Owl (JC only, ~142 mp5 if used on cooldown)

Don't count on Tyrande's doll, I'm barely under 10k NE fragments right now, still no proc. That leaves Fall of Mortality if you're lucky and other trinkets which are farmable.

Without Mana Tide the best would be Tsunami and Tear of Blood, or Core of Ripeness and Tear of Blood if you can't afford Tsunami.

Mana Tide however changes the picture, boosting Core of Ripeness to ~465 mp5 and Dream Owl to ~344 mp5 if used in conjunction with Mana Tide for 15 sec every 3 min. This is under ideal circumstances.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

can you link (or post) the formula for spirit to mp5 conversion?

my understanding is (square root of total intellect * spirit) * constant ? What's the constant?

Obviously if you play with a shaman, you can get some pretty impressive MP5 numbers from timing trinkets with mana tide - considering the different cooldowns, you might be wasting 1 use per fight of the trinkets - did you consider that (or would you even) in your numbers?

Also, and presumably this is a tiny increase, the DMC would also be slightly more valuable than 240 MP5 since it would be affected by MTT as well?

Or is all this already factored in to the above?

Mitranim's numbers are spot on from what everyone is testing, these calculate MTT from what I have read elsewhere, and Mit I am so sorry for you man, I think I completed 63 projects total from 1-525 and I have my doll.

I didn't include it above: Tsunami would provide ~310 mp5 with MTT on cooldown. What about proc trinkets, I think it's virtually impossible to synchronize them with MTT if you're not a shaman.

I don't remember spirit to mp5 conversion formula, to be fair I didn't find the correct one. From ingame testing I got 1 spirit = ~0.6 mp5 with ~5k Int, that's what I'm using. Either way, it woudn't change trinket relative value, aside from Tyrande's doll which is unreachably high without factoring MTT which is fairly unreliable.
