Engineering as a PvE profession

I am not amazed over how engineering is looking at the moment in terms of using it as a PvE profession.

Seeing that you can only use the gems for the special head and that nitro boosts now have a big chance to fail... do you think that I will be good to use?

The only thing that look good is Synapse Springs, but comparing that to the other professions?

If that use effect would be converted to passive int by dividing the int with current effect's uptime, how much more or less int would it provide than any other profession? exactly. And even better, you can activate it during blood lust or any other reasonable situation. Hard stuff
