Is 10 v. 25 Equal Difficulty in Beta: Paragon's thoughts?

I did not see a thread on this but please point me in the right direction if there is.

I wanted to know how you guys feel about the difficulty gap between 10 and 25. Is blizz even close to getting this right in beta? I am not in beta currently so I have no experiences to even imagine how this balancing is going. Do you feel will be able to strike this balance? What has your experience been like with this?

I know a lot of players feel this is impossible and I have to admit I am uncertain how they will make both equal. But being in a strict 10-man guild, its pretty important to me and my guild. Any feedback is appreciated.

But that was pre beta, now with hero 10 man und hero 25 man raids are open for testing: any comments on actual difficulty differences?

10 man still that much easier or is the gap closer to 25 man?

It's still far easier, much because of the reasons that were stated in the posts prior to the raid testing. They're surprisingly accurate - could write the same stuff now after playing the 10-man heroics. They're a challenge, but they're just not equally hard compared to 25s. It's not even at the "pretty close'ish" level, they're just quite a bit easier. They're still good bit of fun, though, and definitely a big step up from the Wrath 10s.


Now, keep in mind they're still not done with the overall balance. It's still beta and not the final release. There's going to be further numbers passes prior to the release. If you're a hardcore believer, it'll be perfect by then.

I'll remain a skeptic until proven wrong.

Thanks Farn for the link. was very helpful. And thanks Syn for the update. I was never sure what they wanted from "equal difficulty" and I guess I still am not sure what they are going for, but the points in the earlier thread may be right. It will be more challenging than 10s are now but they will not be willing to go the full mile of making them even more unforgiving after all they have done to ease players into raiding.
