Congrats on the Blizzcon 2010 bosses. That was pretty epic, if I did have to watch it on virtual ticket. :)

I'm just curious how you guys built a guild over the years. I read about the starting of Paragon, but I'm more interested in how you kept it together for such a long period of time.

Our realm really doesn't have a strong raid guild alliance side... since most of them did a faction change to horde. But I guess I'd like to do something different for once and try to build something big.

Any suggestion are welcome.

FOR THE HORDE! (I play both sides)

Paragon was formed by the core members of Knockout (Twisting Nether) and Sauna (Stormreaver) for Wrath of the Lich King in August 2008

I have no intention to put down Paragon in any way but just over two years is not really a long time. I know that members partly knew each others from previous guilds, but the guild known as Paragon is quite young.

My guild has been around for 12+ years throughout various MMOs and other games. Some left. Some joined. Some went inactive. But there is a core of people that was there in the beginning and that still goes strong. If the chemistry is right and you can deal with obstacles in a mature way through decisions done by leaders with a good feeling for what the guilds needs / wants, it can work.
