So after the patch i can say i feel my rogue sucks something big seems missing like they riped the soul out of it, i'm Combat spec atm.
Can u guys tell me what rogues are like in raids at 85 atm, DPS wise and how fun combat is, or if combat is useless what spec have you gone for.
Maybe just me but i'm shocked that blizz hasn't said a word about rogue's current state.
Thanks
Soky

Combat is about the same as on live, mutilate can probably reach top10 or top5 on some fights. Nothing to brag about in either of the specs really. Both of the specs play similarily on live and on the beta, you don't really gain anything except passive bonuses for the 5 last talent points.
Combat seems to have decent utility in heroics atleast.

no, there's no need for one. Daggers are better in every way now that Main Gauche isn't normalized.

Actually, I was wrong. Main Gauche is normalized, which leads to us rather wanting a fast fist/axe/sword/mace for our offhand but currently there are none in the beta. Also I'm not 100% certain but I'm guessing that at low mastery levels a 1,4 dagger is way better than a 1,5 non-dagger because of combat potency and I can't remember the last time I saw a non-dagger which was faster than 1,5.

Just a curiosity, why in the case Main gauche was not a normalized attack, you should have used a dagger over another kind of fast weapon? For example: HC lungbreaker has 1.40 speed and 245-457 damage. HC scourgeborne has 1.5 speed and 263-489 damage.
If MG was not normalized, hence taking into account weapon speed to damage, wouldn't having picked a 1.5 weapon still have been a superior choice? Or, the 0.10 less speed will proc MG so much more, that ends up doing more damage in a giving fight than with a 1.50 weapon?
