Hello,

I have a shadow priest and I can't dps well at all. I've checked shadowpriest.com and talked with other shadow priests and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. My toon's name is Dinndamascus on maiev, here's the link: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... nndamascus

My rotation is: Vampiric Touch, Mind Blast, Devouring Plague, Shadow word: Pain and then mind flay and then refreshing dots and bringing out my shadowfiend 2nd or 3rd rotation.

My dps with the 30% buff is between 5-6.5k in ICC depending on the battle... It's terrible I know. Please help me so I can be useful to my guild!

Sorry I'm not on any of those, since the raids on ICC that I do are either pug or alt runs. The raid leaders don't use it when we do those raids. Is there any other way I can get it to you?

You could just record the combat log yourself. That would be the easiest way. There's really no way to tell with the information you provided what you might or might not be doing wrong.

The reality of what's happening is often radically different from people pasting or writing down the optimal rotation for their class.

IS there anyway to do that? I was thinking of using screen shots, but there would be too many screen shots...

just type /combatlog before the first bosspull.
WoW will then record the whole combatlog to your wow/logs/ folder.

Pages like worldoflogs.com or wowmeteronline.com then can parse your logs and make them useful and shiny


you could also download a small addon: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addo ... atlog.aspx
This will start combatlogging automatically in any raid instance.

Well I did the /combatlog and it logged, but it's all in notepad form and is jumbled together with a ton of other numbers...so it seems that I can't get this to you at all.
