Your logs suggest heavy exposure to the Heroic Professor Putricide and Sindragosa encounters, which are both among the most Discipline-unfriendly designs in the game (along with their friend Blood Queen Lana'thel to complete a curious pattern…).

You keep repeating that these encounters are very disc-unfriendly, but can you say why? From my own experience (sindra & queen - 25HM, professor - 25N) they are fine for disc:

On Sindragosa you shield raid as in any aura fights as well as shield marks and people with debuffs;
On Queen you shield the raid and marked players, greatly smoothing out the heavy aura damage;
On Professor you shield melee when green ooze is out and ranged when gas cloud.

Was I doing it wrong?

In a vacuum, 'fine' is not a poor choice at all to describe a 90%+ effectiveness rate for one's HPS…

That, however, is what Discipline is based on for just about each and every boss out there, and this time it finds itself in an encounter balanced around the others approaching true healing with two-to-three times its maximum output.

To make things worse, you're not actually "shielding" anyone against anything! Any kind of pre-emptive spike buffering is impossible due to being limited to a few active half-powered shields at a time.
The very most blindly thrown-around PW:Ss wind up doing is lose all of their potency over the course of a couple of damage aura ticks that would've been taken care of in no time at all by semi-automatic raid heals anyway.

Put in general form, no one in these kinds of encounters dies to anything Discipline would have a reasonable chance to counter. This's a direct result of the passive damage reducing the effective duration of any given PW:S to no more than a handful of seconds, leaving you futilely attempting to contribute with neither the HPS of a raid healer nor your innate utility.

Just was wondering whats better choice for me Trauma or Frozen Bonespike, dont have any serious problem with mana, almost 4k SP unbuffed for Holy renew priest

Priests have a miserable time getting Trauma to proc, and I personally dislike it anyway, so the 'Spike is what I'd set my sights to.

If I understood you correctly there is currently nothing I could do aside from the exchange of specs? I ask this because I will now only be active as a discipline priest in our raids. My shadow spec is used as a backup should be missed Range Damage Dealer.

Though i havnt been on the Beta so i dont know how well lightwell was changed, but from my views its not that great.

I was not sure did you want only Paragon priests to answer you but I am bored enough to write my own toughts for you. ^^ Yes, it is true that priests use smite during encounters. As instance it can be used for extra manaregen and healing buff via Evangelism and Archangel talents. And there seems to be more talents like Atonement which makes your smite actually heal also, but I wonder is that more of a pvp talent or will there be some encounter where you could actually use it well.

And I really think you should still choose talents like Inspiration to your spec. Also Despeate prayer is often useful talent in icc (which we still raid after 4.1 with new specs). About holy spec there is not much arguing since it is pretty easy to make but it would be very nice if Lightwell would be actually good since you can heal with it without using global cooldown after you have set it up.

Here are the specs I tough for cataclysm but I havent been in too much beta so these might change when I really see what it is like.

It should also be remembered that before catclysm comes out we need to use specs with only level 80 talents in icc so I also have made them. Tough those also will change when I get some expierience of really using them (I was really disapointed when I noticed that I get Archangel when I am 85 and cannot use it in Holy spec before cataclysm).

I sincerely cannot think of a way for Discipline to reliably thrive in your scenario, Kíria.

Concerning bubat and Thasilian, Holy/Discipline is a solid — if not the only — foundation to work with.
Importantly;

• Inner Focus and Train of Thought are subtly amazing.

• Strength of Soul goes against what you're trying to accomplish.

• Discipline synergizes beautifully with Smite and its related talents, but Holy cannot so much as try to work it in.

• The proc chance of Surge of Light turns it into a punchline. Please give us back Twirling Light!

• Lightwell will work wonders if upcoming raid content is reasonably designed

hi there ive already asked this question but i wanted jhazruns view on it as holy is it worth gemming pure sp?

also atm im disc for lk 25 heroic attempts and i was wondering what i should be doing inside shadowmourne in p3 atm i tend to shield and holy nova?
