Hello, I would like to start off with some slivers of information that probably could help.

http://worldoflogs.com/reports/ysflp4h0 ... amageDone/ (raid since we lost our mut rogue)

http://worldoflogs.com/reports/p2ck6tp8 ... amageDone/ (raid with our mut rogue)

Note: I have picked up a few upgrades from when we lost our other rogue; but they were minor ones.

Now, my DPS seems to be lacking behind quite a bit and I feel I could be doing a lot better with my current gear.

I do spreadsheet a lot and check other WoL parses often by other combat rogues to see what they're doing differently than I to be getting such better results.

Well I stumbled upon something, a parse from my old guild with their new rogue (who is a lot less geared than I) pulls about my DPS. He has heroic Bloodvenom and heroic Scourgebane (which luck has not wanted to give to me yet) while I have armor that outclasses his by quite a bit.

http://worldoflogs.com/reports/z3z1voff ... 146&e=9358 (Ashariah is the rogue I'm talking about)

I'm just curious as if I'm doing something wrong here.

My rotation is normally to start up SnD with 1-2 points, speed pot before combat then blade flurry/glove use/killing spree, adrenaline rush into SS into a 5 pt SnD then a 5 pt Rupture then keep it up from there.

My questions would be.. Is there any way to improve myself? Is my rotation off? Should I be evis only instead of rupture? Is it because of the weapon difference?

I'm just completely annoyed by this because I know I could be doing better but I do not know where the problem is to fix it.

Thank you all for the help, if you need me to supply anything else I will gladly do so!

Rupture should nearly always be better, weapons are about 100+ dps each going from 264->277. Get rupture up asap while keeping snd up. You don't need to use over 4 point snd:s with high rupture. As long as it's still on when you have the combo points to refresh it.

Lucky crits play a big part in rogue dps as damage mostly comes from autoattacks and poisons. There's not really much you can do if you understand how the rotations should work (which is by no means hard). Otherwise it's just using the right potions at the right time and trying to time your cooldowns with possible damage buffs.
