Dxe is one of the best bossmods i've ever had. Alot of configuration, but it gives you free room to configurate it however you want. Although only downside with it, from my part, is how badly it announces defile for example on LK. I use DBM on that fight only for the defile. Rest is Dxe.

Can't really comment on the up and downside of Bigwigs. Didn't use it that much.

It does have a default setting, don't remember how that was. but it was very decent.
But i recommend setting it up by your own. Where you want the timers, how you want to get warned when for example, you got defile on you or something similiar. A lot to configurate in the beginning. But it's worthwhile.

Doesn't really matter as long as the timers are up to date and stuff. DXE seemed pretty nifty, but felt no need to switch.

We mostly use BW on new content since it's pretty easy to modify it on the go, making timers for the new encounters.

DXE had plenty of rather nice features. I lost all hope though when our resident coding guru was completely put off by it. What was awesome was the possibility to download updated boss mods/timers/whatever on the fly.

BigWigs I've simply been using since before original Naxxramas. There's been no issues with it whatsoever, nor does it have useless extra crap in it. Biggest reason to stick with it is that we get new boss modules done in a few minutes for new fights.
