Low DPS for MM Hunter

Hi,

I watched several videos of MM Hunters and I don't know why I am feeling like I have no DPS compared to them.
For example, FemaleDwarf gives a 8k5 something DPS but with the 30% ICC buff I never get close from this DPS.
Some tips, please Paragon's Hunters?

First thing i notice is that your gemming for socket bonuses...... bad idea. the socket bonus is a waste compared to the gain you get from gemming pure agility/arp. also some of your gear isn't the best, your staff, your belt, your gloves/shoulders are good examples of this. I noticed you are specced into Concussive Barrage... big mistake this is not needed at all as it doesn't do anything for you in pve. http://www.wowhead.com/talent#cxbZ0eVbR ... 00b:Aif0zM this is a spec i would recommend instead.

Your trinket [Needle Encrusted Scorpion] is a terrible choice for an MM hunter, try and get [Whispering Fanged Skull] from deathwhisper 10 man instead. your shoulders and gloves should be replaced with T10 ones either 251/264. Until you get Whispering Fanged Skull i would gem for agility with one Nightmare Tear for your Meta socket and have the rest agility. If you have access to it try and get the Sindragosa 10man/25 man neck.
Thats all i can trink of at the moment, i'm sure some of the Paragon hunters will be able to advise you further but i think i have covered most things.

Right now femaledwarf suggests slightly over 10k dps for you, if you can't get anywhere near that with the ICC buff there's something wrong with how you play - but without a log and/or video I can't comment on that. You can easily improve things by fixing your gear and spec, though:

I'd recommend replacing that NES with Herkuml War Token (or WFS, or any other high end trinket really) and gemming full arpen, it shows as a definite dps win with that gear level. Also you really should get rid of some of all that hit so you can take Focused Aim - you can get 1/3 for "free" and even 2/3 without really losing any other dps talents. Suggested pieces to replace are the neck and 2h weapon.

In any case get rid of those purple gems. One Nightmare Tear to activate meta, every other gem should be arpen. Or if you don't want to go that way, every other gem should be agi or agi/crit if you can get a socket bonus with that, but never agi/stam or arpen/stam.

Spec like this, and once you have less than 8% hit move the point from IHM to Focused Aim, and if you can get to 6% hit from gear move one point from Rapid Recuperation to Focused Aim also.

If gemming for agi, using agi/crit gems to pick up socket bonuses is perfectly fine.

I wouldn't. 2/2 GftT is just plain waste, better put the point in IHM or if you really happen to have someone always bringing IHM into Focused Aim just for the pushback reduction.

No. Shark Attack is simply subpar compared to Wild Hunt at these gear levels. Bloodthirsty vs Boar's Speed is a matter of preference, personally I prefer Bloodthirsty as the extra speed is rarely all that useful with Dash already there.

While WFS is obviously a lot better, NES isn't terrible choice - for MM, that is. Just not a very good one if you have access to something better. Sometimes even HWT counts as better...

Until you get Whispering Fanged Skull i would gem for agility with one Nightmare Tear for your Meta socket and have the rest agility.

Why would getting WFS have any effect on whether to gem arpen or agi? Pretty much the only major factors for the decision are how much arpen you can get total (since it scales in increasing benefit manner) and the base dps of your ranged weapon.

I have already changed all my gems for +20 arpen and +34 ('cause I am Jewelcrafter ^^).
On Kora, this morning, I was the third DPS (second hunter ^^) with an amazing 8700 DPS.

With that NES you now have way too much arpen - you go pretty far over cap when the trinket procs. I'd recommend replacing the NES with HWT for example.
