Death Knight DPS

The guild i was in a while ago said i should be doing more DPS than i actually am, I did my rotation perfect, and this may sound bad but i did the rotation multiple websites told me to do, but the other death knight in the guild always did more DPS some how, and to this day i still can not figure out why, even when the ICC buff got larger i still did roughly the same amount of DPS, i did raise slightly though. Here is a link to my armory and can someone tell me how much i should be doing.

DPS output: 11k on most fights in ICC
Rotation: IT,PS,BS,SS,BS,DC,HOW
BS,SS,BS,DC,DC,(DC if enough RP)

Also, you think you're doing it right, but fact is, you probably are not. With 30% buff in that gear you can probably put out 14.000 DPS on a static fight. (My feel for unholy is not too accurate though.) Also, heroic Bryntroll is probably a big upgrade for you, unless you're about to get Shadowmourne.

Yeah well i am not in a guild currently because of my DPS because all of them say i should be doing 14k and i check recount after a fight when a death knight does more dps/damage than me and it is the same percentile with each move

What DK did you raid with that you are refering too? If me I don't think I out did you by much, if at all. I was quite a bit undergeared when I joined. I think I had 1 piece of 277 if that. Now I reach alot higher DPS seeing as I replaced almost everything but the Tier gear with 277.

I can't see how you don't have Bryntroll yet, that shit dropped like hot cakes in this guild and still does. That would be a hefty upgrade seeing as the proc works well with DKs. Especially before the nerf. Aside from the weapon I see you stated your rotation starts with IT. Some scenarios I do use IT first but if you look at the UH talent RoR it states that targets affected with BP take 2% additional damage. Now I know this is not much but that is 2% more damage from IT when you open your rotation with PS.

If you were speaking of me in your opening post I can think of another possible difference. Are you pre potting before pull? If not I do that. That could be another little boost. If you are not talking about me then I can't say what this other DK was doing different seeing as you were the only DK in the guild when I joined.

Afaik with your gear, your not socketing for your socket bonus with +4 Str, you should be. Put a Fierce Amitrine in a yellow socket to reach that bonus. Haste is good for UH afaik it stacks multiplicatively. I could be wrong on some of this input but I research my sites and usually end up using what yields me the best results.

Your and engineer. Why no nitro boosts to your boots....they don't only give you a cd that can save your ass but additional stats. No need for 5 piece T10. Drop the pants for the ICC craftables. I can make them if you need. That is if you don't have access to the H Scourge Reavers. Exp is not quite needed as much for UH as it is for Blood and Frost. You can deal with being a little low by changing out pants. I have 10 exp atm do to terrible RnG, I still do fine. 10 is quite low tho I would like to have at least 15-17. With a quick glance that is my input. I'm sure I'll see you around on Magtheridon.

Any brains that research more than me may have better ideas, I'm not claiming to be 100% correct but I know those are the decisions I would make based on my research.

Edit. I see ur hit is at 5.82% unbuffed granted you get 1% from your class, if you don't have the right buffs from raid then your lacking hit aswell.

You may also mean the guild Faded Within as well. The DK there being Hellcat who raided with us shortly after you left.

you must have not less than 8% hit because if you have less the hit of your ghoul would round down and then the ghoul doesnt have the style cap....

I can't possibly see how you're only able to pick up 11k DPS on most of the ICC fights. I'm able to pull just under 12k on the Majority of them on my Deathknight which has Crafted/T9/Emblem gear still.

First of all you need 8% hit, that's the biggest reason why your DPS is so low. I'd also recommend you give the next-tier Unholy spec a try and see how your DPS compares.

Are you timing your Gargoyle so you pop it when everything (or as close to everything) is active? I tend to wait until my Trinket + 1 or 2 other ap buffs proc then mash my Gargoyle bind which has my Engi Haste Gloves and my Troll Racial attached to it (overkill??).

Pre-potting helps quite alot too if you aren't utilzing that nifty little trick ;)

On AoE fights hitting your Pestilence when a bunch of adds spawn is a great dps boost also (did 12.4k on Professor via lots of triple Pestilence chains on the double Ooze+Prof, 12.1k on Saurfang via pestilence on Blood Beasts (wait until they take some damage so you avoid pulling aggro))

So let me get this straight, your dk is in crafted gear + tier9, and your able to do 12.1k dps on putricide?

That means that you would have a top50 world dps parse on normal putricide ( I take your talking about normal mode) This come from looking at wowmeteronline and comparing your number with the normal putricide parses for dk's.
