Hello all,

I have just returned to the game after a break due to my thesis. I stopped a few months ago around the release of 3.2. I have just joined a good 10 man guild and aim to make good progress with them. I have tried my best to keep up to date with our class but I feel I may require some advice and tips. I have gone from being top of the damage in Ulduar HM’s to a relative mediocre damage in ICC 10 man. From my limited experience of ICC (this week alone) I can gauge that some bosses may require a different spec i.e. Sindragrosa an affliction spec due to the mechanics similar to yogg?? I ran a destruction spec last night on this encounter and my dps was a joke.

http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... &cn=Harrip

Affliction rotation – Lt> Pop cool downs> SB>Haunt> Corr>UA> CoA SB filler greater than 25% DS below 25%

Destruction rotation – Curse (situational)>LT>Pop cool downs> Immo> Conflag> Inc> CB

Would be great if someone could provide me with some advice on my gear, talent builds and rotation, a quick MOT I suppose. Any tips on the specs for some boss encounters in ICC would be greatly appreciated. I have trolled through numerous guides but would very much appreciate an expert’s opinion of my own toon.

Kind regards,
Harrip

Hey all
Quick question for Tsukky
Regarding the initial Affliction rotation, what would you say to the idea of using Sb X2 then haunt to start, rather than SB --> Haunt?

It would seem that this would get a 3 stack of Shadow Embrace rolling early, resulting in a more powerful Corruption
Is this sensible? I don't currently have 4 piece T10 so don't have to wait for a Devious Minds proc before popping pots + NMIC.

With this in mind, is getting a 3 stack shadow embrace up BEFORE popping everything to power up Corrution worth while? Or is the difference not really worth bothering with?

Hey, I was watching your Icecrown citadel heroic 25 man ( the one on the front page of this site.) and I saw your warlocks casting hellfire before each pull. Is there a reason for this?

Thanks.

They are probably using Hellfire before each pull to stack up Muradin's Spyglass for the spellpower.

Only reason Ill start with SB is because of the 5% crit. SE and haunt amplifies the dots without you having to reapply them so you could even start with haunt->corru -> ??? when you get the t10 bonus and you are confident enough that it will actually proc within the first ~20sec tho I dont recommend this. In my opinion, its bigger dps loss to apply to dots after the 2xsb but thats just me :)

sorry about the late reply but I've been busy playing d2 \,,/

Methens wrote:Greetings, I have a question regarding pets. According to the EJ affi thread the priority on pets goes: Infernal > Dommgaurd > Felpup > Succubus > Imp > Void.
I was wondering if this remains the same to this current date with the current gear and talents. Some people have told me that for standard pet succubus with 2 points in demonic power(tho I see no players using it, so I guess it's false) is superior to felpup with the 2 points in imp felhunter.
Aside from that using infernal on the last minute of a fight is the best, as well as doomgaurd every single time the CD is up, correct?
Thank you for your answers in advance.

Tsukky or Diivil could I bother you guys with an answer plz.

I think with the commen trend being the use of Dark Pact as the primary means of mana return for affliction locks, the Felhunter tends to see the most use, due to its shadow bite ability allowing it to maintain a good mana pool for Dark Pact.
Would Imagine an Infernal would be a good dps boost in the last minute burn phase however

First of all congratulations to your great progress.

Seems that the trend is to write English in the forum, so i'll follow that, but feel free to answer in Finnish ;)

I've been playing affliction now since ICC came out and enjoying it alot, but I'm still not 100% sure im doing everything possible to maximise my DPS. So I thought now that you guys finished up clearing ICC25 HC maybe you'll have time to look over my logs below and tell me what mistakes I'm doing:)

Thanks for your time :)

/Edit: *sigh* you can just forget about this post.. I just realised who ever uploaded the logs, uploaded them in German >.< Even I'm not 100% sure what all the spellnames are..
