Hello again, DKs of Paragon. I'd first like to say gratz on 25 LK heroic, it's been awhile since I've been here. I'd also like to very happily report my DPS has improved substantially as well, so I'm no longer worried about that.

I'm here now because we've recently started actually working on the Lich King ourselves in my 10man group, where I'm the only DK.

We're having issues with the val'kyr in phase 2, it's like we just can't snare them enough. I'm wondering if I shouldn't go unholy and spec into like desecration to try and slow them, or frost with chilblains, or if the snare would be easier provided by another class?

TL;DR - What would you suggest me to do in this case? Like what did you guys do for it?

Unlike the slows and stuns afforded by other classes, the slows available to Death Knights during the Val'kyr phase are only available via dropping talent points into each respective slow (Chilblains/Desecration). It's simply not worth the DPS loss to spec 2 points into each for a marginal slow when other classes have full stuns and better talented slows. Typically, if you are having trouble with slowing the Val'kyr, it'd be more advisable to just spam Chains one of them. However, if you really don't have any classes that permit a slow or AoE stun [only for 25man] (Prot Warr, destro lock, etc.) you could probably talent into your slows. On that note though, maybe your other raid members are not doing their fair share of the work to get the Val'kyr down. At this point with the ICC raid buffs, you should have no problem killing a lone Val'kyr.

The only fight where putting talents into Desecration/Chilblains would be advised is probably HC Saurfang for the Blood Beasts. Even then, hunter traps, totems and even Prot Warr Shockwave would probably be enough.

Hi, i was browsing through paragon wow armory profiles and i noticed that most of your unholy death knights have 17 points in frost instead of blood. This is very unusal to me as i have never seen this before, i would like to know why is this and can i have your rotation to it as i would like to try it out.

Hello Paragon.

I've got a question.

Im trying out DW frost spec now and I want to know what type of rotation you are using. I've been on Ensidia site and a few more and looked out the rotation and it seems to be very long one and it varies between many sites, how are you suppose to be able to use Unbreakable armor as often as possible since it turns into cooldown on runes when you use it and to use OB 3x wise wich happens 3 times during the rotation isnt possible cause it turns into cooldown. Im using bloodtap macro.

Any suggestions?
my rotation is atm

PS > IT > OB > BS > Pest > FS > OBx3 > FSx2 > OBx2 > BS > Pest > FS > OBx3

Thank you and good luck

It's called ''Frost subspecc''. It's usually better if you have a procc wep, eg. Bryntroll. It's also superior in the AoE department. As for a rotation, it's the same as normal unholy sub-blood speccs, but instead of Deathrune-SS you do 2x BS instead.

Ok then, as i dont have a proc wep i'll rest my points in blood for further.

By the way, just so you know, if you get subfrost, and 2/3 Morbidity...

DEATHCOILS ARE FUN! (I got up to 13k DCs =D)

What are the current views on Shadow's Edge vs Bryntroll (non - heroic version) for unholy with frost subspec? With the extra haste buff is bryntroll now better or would shadows edge still come out on top

A few Questions to Synti and Liha,

You both have a frost spec, however Synti has a spec with CotG maxed and Skipped it in the second build, While Liha has one point in CoTG. any particular notes on testing all three of your specs ? Or is this to be a bit more agile on different raid setups?

Gear Questions :

- Synti has decided to go for spell hit cap and Liha seems to stick with 5% hit which caps his specials but no more. Is there a noticeable difference in misses?

- You both have around 533 arpen which isn't very arpen heavy. Was this a gear choice made on purpouse or necessity and how does this work our related to my previous question?

- You are both sporting a Sigil of the Hanged man at the moment, I remember one of you logged out near to the lich king kill with a Sigil of Awareness equipped. I think This was Synti and this puzzled me a bit at the time because his build wasn't that arpen heavy and Liha's was , while he had a Hanged man Equipped. Was there any particular reason for this?

Thank you very much up front for taking the time to read my questions.

Greetz,

Crellis from Europe

Hello
Please check my profile in signature. According to Rawr - http://elitistjerks.com/rawr.php
Bryndoll 227 is the best weapon for me. Except ofc. LK25hc and legendary weapons.
Do You agree this this simulation? Currently i`m suing SE as dps weapon and Bryndoll 277 as offspec tank weapon.

Rawr also suggest to put in yellow slot +20 str gem when socet bonus is +4 str. Do You agree with that? Currently I`m using in those situations +crit/str gems.
