Why HWT, especially on a fight like HLK?

Despinarx is my alt, and as such, had limited access to good trinkets. Besides, Herkuml War Token isn't that bad of a trinket at all, while it does suffer from the frostmourne pauses. It's still simply the best I got :(

I have a question on Divine Plea. I spam heals like crazy and usually use it 2 or 3 times a fight at times where I think it is the safest. (plea+divine illum and plea+wings). On lich king a paladin in my guild said "nice, I didnt use divine plea at all that time, im good at conserving mana" (on a 50% wipe) I told him he didn't heal enough then. I double his healing every attempt.

Am I wrong? He said I am going to want to learn to not use it so much on Heroic 25's.

Yes, he's wrong. On LK I use DP almost on cooldown and save my +healing cooldowns for reaper.

Hey diamondtear,

#2 Is it worth gemming the sp/int and int/mp5 gems to pure 20intel (if i regem to ALL intel, I would get around <1900mana back with the bracer enchant) just for a extra holy light or 2, and lose around 115sp.

#3 What is the best way to conserve mana it seems everytime i cast holy light even with the Libram of Renewal It seems to take a chunk of my mana away sadly.

Anything I can do to improve this, also do you cast HL on targets 80%+ HP or just those under 80%.

Regemming would definitely give you more mana (and regen, as max mana affects replenishment and DP). Don't expect to see a huge difference though. As you can see, I've used only yellow gems.

You should always use libram of renewal and very rarely not cast. I do cast on targets over 80%. Mana management is more about getting mana back than saving it.

i know i am a mile ovre hit cap. but nothing i seem to get drop for me has no hit. im hoping for a weapon change but i have lost the roll on bryntroll 3 times now.

my main question is my trinkets. obviously running with Greatness. now i am running TOC 25 every week trying to get DC but it never drops and when it does again no luck on the rolls.

so what swords are best to try to chase? im only geting 6 bosses down in both instances. but usually most weeks its kill fester and then fail.

and is the badge trinket war token woth getting over greatness??

and should i change/replace many pieces?

in 25 man last night i pulled avg of 7 to 8k dps on the bosses. and was in the top 2 most fights.

Hi, and first of all, grats whis epic kill of LK :) I have a question for Iiris and Despinarx.. what DPS you have in this fight? I'm play retri pal too, and I just curious how it was ^^

I dont see anything wrong with your gearing and about the legendary+haste I havent done much research myself on the matter but I think there was some discussion about it in the EJ forums. Getting the legendary wont affect you by much, atleast you shouldnt gem for pure haste, im not sure about str/haste gems tho. The main reason ppl get engi is not the haste enchant but the nitro boost which can be really useful in fights with lots of movement. Excluding nitro boost engineering and blacksmithing are at the same level but as engi, you have to use saronite bombs which some ppl would rather not do but if you get to get even couple hits more than others because of your nitro boosts it outweights blacksmithing easily.

You cant use 2x Whispering Fanged Skull so heroic Skull + Herkuml is the best choice. Herkuml is clearly better than Greatness. Haste is actually one of the best stats for ret when you get your tier10 bonuses.

You could replace your Greatness with Herkuml if you have the badges. Like you said you have way too much hit, try to replace some of those parts.

I cant show the damage meters but lets say retpalas do ok in this fight overall tho your position in the damage meters is really RNGish because of valkyries picking up ppl. Rets do really good on some parts of the fight, they are one of the strongest classes to kill valkyries.

Thanks. a take it from your other comment that the frost trinket is greater for ret over greatness with the T10.

i dont have the badges yet but i dont have anything else needed from badges other then primordials for created items.

so thank you and ill get that trinket when i can. And i will be dropping hit when something i get has no hit :(
