Hey, first of all grats on the 25 heroic kill ^^, and i have a question about the new unholy with frost sub-spec, i was testing it and i noticed that with my gear i lost way to much crit, so i dunno if i should stay on the blood sup-spec or move on to frost one, here is my armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... e&cn=Thwor

To update my previous, half-awake posts:

Expertise, I miss-calculated this. My DPS has still increased, but it's not worth my attacks missing. It sucks going IT > PS > BS (MISS) > SS > BS > BS (Oh, it goes on), it will totally destroy your main rotation. It's not THAT bad, but it sucks to have to re-adjust. My point being, if you can get a piece of ARMOR (NOT your weapon (Such as 251 to 264)) to go Expertise, I'd recommened it. Also, there is food for +40 Expt. and +40 Stam. - Yes, you lose +40 Str. but it's most definetly worth it instead of your attacks missing - sometimes it happens 4x in a row.

Unholy-Frost is way better than Unholy-Blood. Yes, you lose the crit and the Bladed Armor - so what? You gain Frost Damage, Shadow Damage, Personal Haste (20%), AND 4% strength along with Mind Freeze being RP free. You also get to use extra DC's if you have to (I've found that it happens frequently). Also, instead of using Indestructible potions, you will use Potion of Speed.

To continue with Potion of Speed - Try to time it when you're going to use Gargoyle along with Heroism/Bloodlust. In most ICC fights you will find that Gargoyle will be used atleast twice, sometimes 3-4 times. I usually will pop Gargoyle initially anyways, regardless of Heroism/Bloodlust. I'll save my Potion of Speed for when Heroism/Bloodlust is used and Gargoyle is up. For the most part, I don't have a problem getting this done.

Yeah i know all of this but my question is, there is any point that i can know where it's worth to change builds? cause it seems that i'm doing less dps at least on 10-man, i did not had the oportunity to test on 25-man yet, but i feel that my crit is way low, i do love the extra shadow dmg and especially the 4% str and free mind freeze, but it's really worth with my gear?

I'm not sure if it's been playtested and from your armory imnot sure if those PvP pieces are part of you PvE gear.

In thought I would assume Unholy/Blood > Unholy/Frost at around 245-251 gear lvls
and Unholy/frost > unholy/blood at 264-277 gear lvls.

i havn't playtested this so please dont assume it to be correct but if you personally feel that your crit is really low then just play and sub Blood specc untill you get better gear and you get more crit.
It may be worth asking zYN either ingame or waiting for a reply although i suspect he has been fapping all night over the LK kill ;p

Hello, I'm currently trying out the dw frost specc since my guild need the 20% melee haste. I'm wondering how much is expertise worth when you dw? I got like 10 expertise and i see that everybody in paragon are capped. Also when i checked kathories sim it rated it very high. Should i gem expertise or just wait for gear with expertise and let it be?

Oh yeah i was pvping last night lol, my pve gear is mostly 245-251 but i will keep the frost sub-spec until i can test it on 25 icc, and since i dont play on eu servers i will wait to zYN stop fapping and look at here lol.

I'm relatively not new to the game,even if I turned playing in 3.2.
In 3.2 I had great times as dps single and multitarget,topping the meters in trial of the crusader.
Since 3.3 and ss fix,I can't do aswell as 3.2.
But the most terryfying aspect is that I can't see relevant dps increase.
Take Festergut.
I did 8900 dps (no icc buff,no tott,no hysteria,but all raid buffs on (except combat rogue or bm hunter) with 4t9 245,and normal justicebringer,and i were pleased of my single target dmg.
But since that time,when I did the switch to 4 t10 (2x251,2x264,and valithria's 25N legs with haste) and Shadow Edge I never saw my single target dps increasing by my suppositions.
I never passed 10k dps (even with 5% buff).
I tried blood subspec,17/0/54,no reaping,and now also the new 0/17/54 also with no reaping,and I cant go over 10k (but we have also lack of windfury or iit in raid).
I always read Consider's thread on elitistjerks and I use anything (pet food,str food),I used indestructible potion before pull with blood subspec and potion of haste during bloodlust.
I always do simulations with my gear with kahorie's dk simulator but now,i really don't know what to do...
Maybe trying reaping?
I have also frost spec with 2x2.60 axes ilvl 264,but my raid leader wants me unholy..

Hey, iv been using this rotation for a while now, PS IT BS BS SS HoW DC SS DC SS SS DC(DC), with the IT/DD/Ghoul glyphs, it works fine, I do about 9.5-10k on bosses like Deathbringer and Festergut(with all buffs). But as you are saying that by getting GoD I would get an extra SS, already know that so I went to Ebon Blade one night after ICC. I made a new rotation with GoD, I started like this, PS IT BS PT SS HoW DC SS DC SS SS DC....SS PT BS SS HoW DC SS DC SS SS DC SS.. Then I would not need to do PS IT(exept from the start ofc) and get an extra SS, but by doing an extra SS I lose PS IT and one BS as I do PT, is one SS really better then those 3 together? Will this rotation increase my DPS a lot, don't really care about 50 DPS but if I could get few 100 more DPS it would be awsome. I was replacing glyph of IT as it ain't really a super glyph.

If you could give me a simple answer please, if it's a good DPS increase or if I lose some DPS?

Also, in the new Unholy-frost specc, many people dont specc reaping, why:O

Hey Synti. I've been playing UH or Blood for a while and now consider frost spec but i wonder how to use UA without messing out my runes/causing my diseases to fall off.

Blood tap macro after using death runes withh OB ? (/cast blood tap /cast Unbreakable armor /cancelaura blood tap) Anything else?

Also : How do you begin a fight as frost DK in order to maximise the engage burst?
