Ello ello, first things first, I'm not really here to ask you guys to hold my hand, I'm just here basically to get some tips which could potentially get a rise out of my DPS, in terms of min-maxing and such.
First off, the armory profile:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... Radioskpup Please note that all of the logs / information I will provide have these pieces of gear differing from my armory:
- Hersir's Greatspear(H), I had a Twin's Pact(H) at the time (20 Arp Gemmed)
- Saurfang's Band(H), I had a Planestalker's Band(H) at the time (20 Arp Gemmed)
- Rock-Steady Treads, I had the 245 mail boots from Twins 25 (20 Arp Gemmed)
Also, I raid at 300ms (Australian Player), eat Hearty Rhino and drink Flasks of Endless Rage (Just for convenience over using Elixirs of Armor Piercing and Mighty Thoughts). I also lack an Imp HM in my raids. And also, I love my troll, even if orcs are theoretically better :P
My priority rotation:
Kill > SrS > Aim / Multi > Chim > Arcane (Only if moving) > Steady
I use aimed instead of chim as it sims higher for me with my level of gear. I also refresh serpent sting on my first expose weakness when I am certain I will be able to maintain it on that target for an extended period of time.
My preferred cooldown usage:
I will typically blow my cooldowns at the beginning of most fights like this:
SrS > Aim > Chim > RF / CotW / Readiness / Zerking > Aim > Chim > Steadies > Aim > Chim > RF / Speed Pot > Steadies > continue as normal
The fights that this typically differs on are:
- BQL, I prepot, so speed pot isn't used till bloodlust on last round of bites
- Dreamwalker, I only use my CDs in emergencies on VD
- LK, I either prepot or save my pot for p2.5
- PP, I either prepot or save the pot for p3
- Sindra, I prepot and use other pot at our pre p3 lust burn (when we are pushing her over)
- And other prepot situations when I feel like it :P
On most fights I will hold off my 2nd RF / Readiness / Shot reset until the execute phase, which usually times well with my guilds DPS, if the fight is long enough for CotW to be used again, I will use it at the beginning and at the next important burn phase. For example, Sindragosa, I will use CotW at pull and at lust pre-p3, PP, on pull and in p3.
I currently use the kill shot glyph because femaledwarf whines at me for using the Chim Shot glyph and the general consensus is that the Chimera Shot glyph is bad for players with my level of latency, Serp Sting and Steady glyphs are self explanatory.
Here are my latest logs (remember to account the difference in gear mentioned earlier:
- Marrowgar (Bone Spiked 2 times, sigh)
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-2 ... s=94&e=231 - Deathwhisper (I'm not required to perform add duty on this fight)
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-2 ... =552&e=758 - Saurfang (I frost trap and emergency DPS / Distract shots adds when needed)
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-2 ... 912&e=2102 - Festergut (Lag spikes and 2x vomit ftw)
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-2 ... 916&e=3151 - Rotface (Great attempt for me, got 1-2 mutated infections, nothing too serious)
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-2 ... 340&e=3564 I'm not really going to bother you guys about movement / add fights in particular, due to the individual playstyle requirements needed to maximise DPS in those fights, but I'm just gonna ask for tips on how to maximise my DPS further in general, for tank and spanks and movement fights. Something like methods you employ in certain fights to give you that extra edge, and ways that you handle having to move (stagger stepping, disengaging, etc) and add swap. Perhaps even some gear tips (rather than chuck more ilvl at it) would help. I know that I'm doing well, but I know that a player can never be doing as much as he can be, and the only way to improve is to ask questions with his peers and superiors. I look forward to your response(s). :P
