Hi,
I recently started to raid icc10 with my new guild on LB. With some new upgrades i want to know the best way to improve my dps. Its currently around 5k but im still in bosslearning progress so that affects my overall dps... Is it worth gemming armpen or even go sv for best results in this progress phase. The hit is way over but i dont have so many other choices atm. I could swap the wep for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49496 but i dont see a big difference.

You would do more dps as SV with your current gear. 5k seems very low for that gear, do you have full buffs and debuffs in your raids?

Other notes:

• You're way above hitcap
• NES is horribly bad trinket
• Enchant agi on gloves
• Mining is a rather bad profession choice for dps classes

As you can see, the order of messages seems to have gotten a bit messed up when all the different hunter threads were merged into this one. I tried to edit my posts to indicate who I am answering to a bit better, but if you're uncertain if I answered your questions feel free to post again.

It's not quite that simple. The 4T10 setbonus is definitely worse than 2T9, however there's much more stats on T10, and part of why 2T9 is so good is being able to roll the optimal sting on your target, which isn't true for half the bosses in ICC. If you can't keep the same sting (applied with all procs up) rolling for the whole fight the value of the bonus is much less. Also note that the value of the setbonus changes with gemming, as you will have much less agi and thus much less crit with full arpen gemming.

So tier 10 4 set is not a bad thing, agree that stats are better on t10 and the "only" thing i will miss is the 2 set bonus from stings.
But for most cases in ICC my task is not only bosses , but adds and what RL needs to takes care of.

Will try for a period with tier 10 and see how that goes.

well i checked ur profile in spreadsheets\simulator and it suggests 10.6k~ dps. assuming u move from time to time, fight mechanics making u not dps ,a bit of latency and acceptable simulation error u are not that far behind. i would suggest to try overlap trinkets + racials + pots + buffs a bit better and focus on not losing any autoshot for boosting ur dmg.

I don't know why, but my dps has stayed fairly consistent, and has only increased to around 8K on average, despite getting all this new gear. Prior to receiving Zod's Repeating Longbow, 2PC T10 and my new weapon, I was pulling about 6.5k - 7k dps on average. Nothing has changed in my rotation, and I have even incorporated Potions of Wild Magic during my CD popping phase, but my DPS is terrible.

Am I ready for gemming Arpen at this point? What can I do better to get more autoshots in? How do you maintain such high DPS on Saurfang when you need to lay down traps? What about Blood Prince Council where you are in charge of keeping orbs up?

my DPS isnt 9800+ as simulatecraft said.
my dps is always around 7-8k (end of boss fight)

anything that should i change ? (got full t9 and 4pc of t10)
thinking to buy arp cloak and logsplitters gloves (got wrists but not socketed and not enchanted yet) for MM specc and if DBW drops gonna take it also. if i use these items ill lose 4t10 set bonus. is it important that much??
after these adjustments ill get 900ish arp w/o gems.
and also im losing exp shot's GCD several times in raids
im not using any rotation just using prio ones like exp shot, black arrow, multishot, serpent sting, steadyshot. maybe this is the problem?
should i use any haste potions?
should i use rapid fire with heroism or seperately?

any suggestions please???

13 arcane shots? I can understand using it while moving if every other instant is on CD, but you're not going to be moving that much on Festergut...

You're casting 1.7*76 + 1.5*(27+23+13+4+1) = 231.2sec out of 289 - 18 = 271sec possible in the fight. That's a lot of idle time between shots, high latency or just not pressing buttons fast enough?

Additionally, your spec is horrible; 3/3 Focused Aim, even though you already have 6.77% hit from gear? No point in Go for the Throat, your pet is doing about 600dps less than mine on the same boss.

Using Rapid Fire during Bloodlust isn't the best idea either, since Bloodlust alone will cause your steady shots to be capped by the GCD, so you're not gaining full benefit from Rapid Fire.
