Ultraxion, Deterrence Soaking

Hello Paragon Hunters, and everyone who frequents this forum!
The other day I read that a Hunter can use Deterrence to soak Hour of Twilight on Ultraxion. I've never personally tried it because we usually have a tank soak the damage. I was wondering if this is still possible and if so when should I use deterrence for the soaking.
I also noticed the tooltip said if no enemy takes damage from Hour of Twilight, the aspects will take the damage instead. If Deterrence works still does that cause the aspects to take said damage? Thanks in advance and good job on the guilds heroic kill.

In a 10 man is their no need to use a hunter for soaking, easely done by the tank as you only need 1 soaker. In 25 man can it be done by a hunter. Use deterrence just before Ultraxion's hour of twilight cast ends. Make sure you have the cancelaura makro.

Hunters take 0 damage when using deterrence to soak the damage (and to answer the previous question, it prevents damage from hitting the aspects.) There is no reason to have a tank soak damage and have to be healed when a hunter can soak it all and gain an extra second or two worth of DPS.

Although this could be answered by me simply trying I do not want to cause an uneeded wipe. so my question is this:
On heroic Ultraxion, I pop my deterence about .04 seconds before the end of the hour of twilight cast. I find that im then standing around a good 2-3 seconds waiting for everyone else to pop back into the realm. Can i cancel my Detterence as soon as the hour of twilight cast has gone off or do i need to wiat until everyone else is back?

I never had an issue, you can cancel it after he casts it.

Yep, once that wave of energy passes, you can cancel it safely (my experience is normal only, but I don't think there are any mechanic changes at that particular point.)
