This race was a joke anyway.
The most important contenters banned for 8 days, a final encounter that takes about 3-4 days to clear for the top guilds.
It sucks not only for the guilds that lost, but also for KIN raiders.
I think Paragon will clear the instance wednesday, maybe thursday: 3-day break ends monday, 2-3 days to defeat the encounter.
Honestly: Enjoy your holiday! This race isn't worth racing through Christmas anymore. :)

instead of hating on the korean and chinese guild, why can't you guys congratulate them? It seems to me they've won fair and square, even though the western guilds get a upper advantage all the time due to early releases of patch.

Was it?
They went out of their way to invent a new 8 day suspension to mess it up.

The only thing Paragon is going for is to enjoy the holidays. :)
This race isn't worth sacrificing Christmas for: First place is gone, last encounter takes only 2-3 days to complete.

No it was paragons own fault for cheating. Not blizzard.

Paragon made the decision to use an exploit.
Blizzard made the decision to ban several top guilds for 8 days.
Both Paragon and Blizzard made their decisions out of free will. Both could equally well have decided otherwise.
Actually, Paragon merely followed a precedent set by other guilds, whereas Blizzard invented a whole new ban-duration.
Paragon's decision to exploit involved a small upgrade of 391 to 384 gear - would have had only a minor effect on the race to World First.
Blizzard's decision to ban guilds for 8 days gave other guilds an 8-day headstart in a race that took about 14 days to finish - that's huge.
Conclusion: Blizzard messed up the race.
Your name betrays your bias - and plain rudeness. But if you were intelligent and honest, you would hold both Paragon and Blizzard responsible for their respective decisions. Neither was forced.
p.s. It's perfectly possible to both agree with Blizzard's decision, and agree they messed up the race.

Your exploiting costed you a world first that was definetely within reach.
Pains me.
