Madness of Deathwing fight and Hunter Damage

I've run into some issues within Dragon Soul.
Currently I have no dps issues with any boss but as soon as my guild gets to the Madness fight I suddenly fall behind dps I was able to be ahead of in other fights. I am a MM hunter and appear to have all my stats in order.
There is no hunter and madness discussion as far as I can see and I'd like to be able to hear from you as well as any other hunters about tips, tricks, or anything that can improve or help this sudden damage loss on the madness fight.

heya i am having the same problem. i am about 4k below the mages and priests in my guild (10 man) and it is proving to be a problem. I use AI as a focus dump throughout the whole fight and cant see where im going wrong

Are you sure your pet is working correctly? I haven't had problems with my warlock but I have heard people saying their pets are not attacking properly.

My pet seems to be fine. There is a warlock in our team and neither of us have any issues regarding pets.

Sounds like the same issue, my damage drops significantly (6-7k behind the rest of the steady dps) and I can't seem to find an obvious reason why.

If you don't micro your pet to attack mutated corruption(big tentacle), it should be working correctly. Some platforms pet ain't attacking correctly on the mutated corruption. Might be that you fall behind in dps cause mages can use combustion on AoE's in the platform doing some sick damage. Also caster have advantage to multi dot mutated corruption and deathwing's arm tentacle which you don't.

I have had the same issue all last night. I am behind all casters and battle against a Rogue. For all of these Tiers I have never had a problem being 1st (Even competed with our Legendary Spriest) but for some reason this Tier I can't seem to handle it. I am still a little confused on 2 piece though.

Well another pure fact is: hunter scales worse with gear than other classes.
You should check Recount and see does the calegos arcane weave affect more on casters than hunters (likely).

Maybe the design of this fight is just not suited to a hunter.
Are there any classes that I should be able to keep up with that are in a similar situation?
