Even if this causes their rank to go down a bit, they'll still end up 8/8H in the top 5 I'm sure.

I think it's honestly awesome how instead of trying to get out of the punishment with excuses like many of the other guilds are doing, you guys just apologize and take it. I really, really respect that.
Good luck in this current tier of raiding!

Agreed, i've gained even more respect for paragon throughout this mishap. Especially reading their comments on this thread; they describe it better than i ever could. Trolls will be trolls, have some fun off the game for a few days (and get that school work done!) and come back full force, ready to clean up what the other guilds couldn't wither down in the time they had without the real competitors. Good luck Paragon! Hopefully work can be rescheduled for this week and you can have off next week instead!

Sorry but that is a weak ass apology, waiting till after Blizzard deals out the punishments. Just an FYI, you guys are held to a higher standard, being "Professional" Gamers, and all. This does not help the legitimacy of the eSports community one bit, you guys have sponsors for a video game, they sponsor you cause you guys are good at what you do, and to say you guys cheated cause the other top guilds were doing it is just pathetic. You let down your fans as well as your sponsors when you pull this petty shit.

Looking at previous world firsts this expansion Paragon shouldn't really have any problem getting the world first, it just might be a little more interesting than it have been before.
As for the exploit I don't care that much, haters gonna hate I guess.

While I don't condone your guilds' exploitation of the raid finder, I do understand your reasons and commend you all for taking the punishment without making bull crap excuses for it. You have given one reason for it through this entire thread, and that was to keep at the top of the game. It was a big risk to take, and while it may not have paid off in the end, what is life (or Wow) without taking risks? Kudos to you guys, and I'm sure when you get back, you'll still be at the top.

This situation is rahter complicated - yet so simple.
There's more than one side to it but I think that Blizzard made a wrong turn here. I say this because the "invented" the 8 day ban when their rules state 24/48/72 hours or permanent bans only. This is a problem is they need to invent harder bans depending on who's to be banned.
- if it was casul or semi-core guilds who didn't compete for World First then I'm 100% sure the ban would not be 8 days.
Having said that I'm not saying that Paragon, Ensidia, Method or any of the other guilds should be let off the hook.
The more correct way to do it though would be keeping the race more alive (to competition and followers) by stripping the LFR over-loot and then issue maximum 72 hour bans to the players they are CERTAIN took part in it - not just those with the LFR over-loot.
I do hope that Paragon go out there full of rage and energy and beat the crap out of the competition (when ban ends) and get the World First heroic kill anyway! The feeling that Blizzard buff the ban because it's top guilds make me sick.
Go get 'em - eat the competition alive!

As some dude on mmo-champ said.
You exploited, you knew you were, you knew others were and you joined in. Everyone you did was wrong if others were exploiting you should have reported them and won the race fairly. Even if somehow you win the race now i wont see it as a valid win in my mind your a disgrace.
I am sure you guys have a second account each with a geared toon that didn't use the exploit that you will use though.
Or since your willing to do anything to get the edge i would not be shocked if you end up "buying" and account to play on until your mains are active again.
If you won fairly and reported others it would have been epic. Dont try and justify your actions by saying others did it. Thats just a cop out.
Cataclysm Exploits so far:
Magmaw: Kiting adds away from the room because they were unkillable.
- No Action from Blizzard
Atramedes: Standing outside the room completely eliminating the key abilitys in the fight.
-No action from Blizzard
Al'Akir: Have half the raid being afk outside the fight during p1.
-No action from Blizzard
Halfus: Use discs priests and bypass the MS effect mechanic.
-No action from Blizzard
Theralion: Use Guardian spirit or Shaman totems to bypass the Blackout mechanic.
-No action from Blizzard
Council: Kick earthshield and the boss wouldnt do earthquake.
-No action from Blizzard
Cho'gall: Kite the big adds like a baws.
-No action from Blizzard
Sinestra: Not finished at all.
Bethilac: Have mages invis ontop of the net so the boss wont do devastation on the raid.
-No action (still works to this date )
Rhyolith: Go afk and let pets kill the boss for you.
-Achievement was removed from the guild doing so, but no bans.
Majordomo: Tank the boss with a hunter pet so noone in your raid has to take cleave damage.
-No action from Blizzard
Faction change and start heroic modes 1 week before everyone else / Faction change and farm gear with just normal modes.
-No action from Blizzard, because apperently exploiting is totally okay if you just pay them to do it.
The only difference from the LFR exploiting is the fact that nobody payed for it, in other words its not okay and they will ban you for doing it.
Double morale much?

Must be hell with 8 days without proper raiding and dragon jumping around free as xenos long dead cat..
But at least these guys and girls proved one thing to everyone. If place without raiding is raiders hell then hell really is not lonely place knowing that most top end guilds are there now. buahaha, guess i go kill that hc dwagon now, bye.
