My guess without checking with spreadsheet/simulationcraft would be armorpen would be better. Generally if you can get 900+arpen (with gems, enchants, food, everything) and have high ilevel bow/gun it's better than agi. (Very rough guideline - you should always check with spreadsheet/simulationcraft anyway.)

OK, sorry for that... my bad awsell, i'm useing the exact same rotation as you wrote. except that I might start with either BA or SS. Is starting with ES a improvement?

hello,
i'm having a problem with my hunter, at the time i am playing my hunter with a sv specc. the damage is not my problem, on koralon or festergut i got my 9-10k dps with sv (25), but i would like the best damage specc atm, also mm. and here my question, would be a alternative to change my specc. and go to arp mm.

on my gear i can change something, Hersir's Greatspear, Blood-Drinker's Girdle and with arp gems, i would come to about 1070 arp and 4 t10 bonus, maybe Logsplitters ca. 1140arp, but then i have only three t10.

and the problem is that we have in our icc10 group not often a rouge or warrior for sunders/expose and these would be a dps loss for mm or? to bring more dps than with my sv specc.

maybe you have some ideas for me, or help me in the decision to stay sv or change to mm.

Is starting with ES a improvement?

Yes. ES has priority over everything else, always.

Simulationcraft estimates about 10k dps with your gear, so you're not very far off.

It all comes down to which is your priority, 10mans or 25mans?

You'll still do passable dps even with full arp gemming as SV, especially if there's sunders/expose on the target (I sometimes have to go SV in our 10mans, too). I'd say keep 4t10 on, gem for all-out arp, spec MM. Trade some hit for other stats so you can utilize at least one point in Focused Aim. That is, if you want to maximize your dps in 25man raids.

ty, i'd say the priority is fifty/fifty, but do you think ~1060arp (without food or elixir) is enough. maybe NES as 2nd trinket, but i've tested it once in 10mans and it's more crap than all others. the alternative i've is only grandeur as 2nd.
arp sv, according femaledwarf.com, i lose about 330dps compared to agi sv. not that much.

1000+arp is easily better than agi gemming with that bow you have in MM spec.
Stay away from NES, it's worse than greatness...

Hey Kruf.
I've happened to see that you tell lots of these hunter's that ask for your help on these forums to gem ArP'en even though they would scale better with agility according to Femaledwarf. So because of this i assume you use a different type of spreadsheet or DPS simulation program. So i'm wondering which Program you use to simulate peoples DPS.

At the moment i am a survival hunter, although i see a lot of the end game hunters gemming ArP etc.
As a SV hunter i don't do bad dps, i usually am about 7k+ for marrowgar, 8-9k deathbringer, 8kish fester, etc.
I do notice, for example your dps is 10-12k(kruf), i may be wrong but im sure its something ridiculous like that. i do know your gear is probubly much better than mine, but im sure i can be maxing out my dps more if i gemmed ArP...
At the moment i know for a fact i cant do it, because i dont have the gear for it...im at 317 ArP in my AV gear, i mainly focused on AGI for the crit/AP...
So i have a marks offspec, when i dps the heroic dummy, its not nearly as much dps as i can do as SV...
I read up on rotations and im pretty sure im using the right things at the right times, but my dps basically sucks if im not SV, any suggestions?
Another thing is that im trying to get more ArP gear for when that time comes i can gem for it.. but i figured id be doing ATLEAST 6k+ as MM but i can nearly get around there.
Another thing is that my haste sucks, i know hunters have a softcap of 25%...so i plan on getting the haste trinket next with my emblems..good idea?
My hit is like 15% right now, so thats another reason i plan to get this trinket, to replace it.
