Hi, our guild has decided to start raiding 25 man heroic (we cleared 6/7 HC in 10 man before nerfs) and are currently stuck on Baleroc.
Our setup is Disc, 2 Paladins and 2 druids as well as 2 shadow priests. We've been doing the following:
Paladin 1 and disc heal the 1 and 2 shadow priest, who are taking ranged crystal 1 and 2, meanwhile the druids and Paladin 2 heal the tank and the first 2 melee crystals.
After that Paladin 1 and Disc switch to tanks full-time, while the rest of the healers heal only crystals.
We are having issues with crystal soakers dying after a while (no they dont tank with Tormented^^), I am suspecting that healing crystals full-time is very mana intensive so druids and hpal 2 just can't keep that up forever.
Maybe a different rotaion would be more effective? Like about halfway into the fight the hpal 1 and disc heal 2 shadow priests while druids and hpal 2 heal the tank with the massive stacks they got?
I'm also interested in hearing about your strategy on this boss and any tips on positioning the ranged/healers (we keep spreading the damn tormented debuff)
Thanks a lot! ^^

Switch healers between tanks and crystals every time a new crystal spawns. And start the fight by using one soaker per crystal.

Thanks, but we've already killed him yesterday ^^
We used the same tactics as I described in the original post, except we switched the Paladin 1 to crystals full-time and druid 1 to tanks full-time after first shadow priest crystal.

The whole point of Baleroc is that when you repeatedly SWITCH from the crystal targets to the tanks (every second set of crystals) your gain a massive +% to healing the tanks. Your strategy is actually making the fight far harder then intended, as the people healing the tanks are not able to increase the % of healing done while the tanks hp is increasing by huge amounts.
Simply set up your healers into 2 teams of 2 or 3 people and have them swap their healing targets (either crystals or tanks) every time a new set of crystals comes, and the fight will likely be a whole lot easier and simpler
