Shadow Priest Question

With Mind Blast, are you supposed to cast it every time it is off of cooldown or if not, what stack of the Shadow Orb buff do we use Mind Blast for maximum DPS?

I Cast mind blast when it off cooldown but if i need to refresh my dots within less then 6 seconds and i don't have any shadow orbs i like to wait till i do before casting it so i don't cast any of my dots with out empowered shadow up. Can some one correct em if this is the wrong way to play the class

Well it all comes down to which racials you want.. Overall I would say that troll is best because of the berserking racial ability.

As for mind blast, I do pretty much the same as valkorian

In theory troll racial is little more dps, but on some fight goblin might be better due to slightly better mobility and passive haste. It wont make a huge differens on which ever you end choosing so just take one you like better.
