So, for all of those out there, along with Paragon's member's, if you please, what are your thoughts on the new xpac announcement thus far? I've read a lot on the Mists of Pandaria forums and there is a lot of hate for it and a lot of defense for it. I don't remember other xpac forums and any of the tantrums they have had for those, if any.

I guess ill go first then. First of hi, long time listener first time caller.
I like it, as simple as that. Why? Because I think that MoP is a good change from what we are use to. I mean, we have had our main villains from the past expansions. We have dealt with them (you have dealt with them :P). There is no active threats to Azeroth, except the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde. So I think its good that they are going back to there original ideas with this. And throwing in some pandas and there epic landscapes in the mix? Just makes everything that much better :)
And for the changes they are making to the talent trees and such. I think it looks good, at least from a warrior perspective. I saw some of the changes in the warrior tree and saw that you can now change to be a single target interrupter with the same old buff, a multi target interrupter or silence with heroic throw and pummel. This and more will in my mind give every talent a more unique feeling into it. At least for warriors. Cant wait to see the changes they are making to glyphs.
Pandaria, the land of pandas. I looked on some of the photos about the landscapes and saw the videos. All i can say is that it look darn beautiful, many people complain about it being an Asian theme, but i cant see why anyone would dislike that. Its also nice to get away from the cold icy, death, fire, huge maelstrom theme for once. And to leave the dragon aspects for a while. I mean, it feels like they have over used dragons a bit you know.
Pandas as a playable race? With a brand new class? Sure, why not. I would love to have a monk panda or monk dwarf :). Also to what has been said about pandas, that they are cute and not scary at all? I cant say I agree. Especially after reading about them on wowwiki, that they are these strong, agile fighters with high mobility, speed and precision. I haven't had a good look into the monk spec yet, don't even know if there is any info about it yet. But the only thing i don't like about it so far, is that they will be melee dpsers. If you ask me, we have enough melee dpsers at the moment.
This is my thoughts about MoP so far. oh and i like the pet fighting system! My pets have been siting still for to long!

Speaking for myself, I hold a less-than-stellar opinion on Asian themes, so for now I'm savoring the novel experience of an expansion's content actively repulsing me. The talent rework, however, is very charming.

I plan to quit the game around the release of the expansion. Rather do more important things than play a panda.

I my self I like the new Expansion, I've been playing since Warcraft 2, and in Warcraft 3 with the introduction of the Panda race was really neat I've been waiting for them to come into the game since 2004. I'm quiet exited for this expansion.

First of all, no one said you need to play a panda. So have fun in Everquest.
Personally, I am loving the theme. I've been a major fan of Asian culture for as long as I can remember, from the people, to their landscapes, to their architecture. I feel that the Pandaria continent looks absolutely stunning. I also agree with what was said about the Pandarens. People have this set imagine in their minds that Pandas are these cute, cuddly looking and feeling animals in nature, where in fact its far from the truth, and in WoW it'll even solidify that fact more. As I was saying on my guilds forums, I feel a lot of the hate (not all, some people have probably thought about it really hard and just don't like it) comes off prematurely, people perhaps do not understand the lore or do not want to accept this kind of change, which is sad.
However, that being said, I for one am very excited for the expansion and the content that will be released with it. I as well believe the game play is the most important part, however visuals can and do play a part, and it so happens I enjoy these ones. I'm hoping raid content won't become botched in this xpac and that it will still be as challenging as HM Rag is challenging for me and my guild and most people.
Edit: Had spelled Pandaria wrong, fixed.

There will be outcries with everything Blizzard does. Before Cata people said that WoW would die and that expac would be the cause. I'm looking forward to this expansion. Blizzard is a quality company with quality goods. I'm especially looking forward to Panda Monk drunk Tank!

Agreed! I love Blizzard, have for almost a decade now. They produce quality games, and I am always hyped for new releases and for Blizzcon. Can't wait for D3 and the MoP beta xD!

I don't like the theme because it's not serious. I like more serious games (I stopped liking Worms after it because to humorous, for example). It's not a big deal, however, because the theme isn't the reason I play.
The talent rework won't make a big difference. We'll still have the same few choices that won't make a huge difference. It'll be nice to be able to re-talent on the field, though.
