Hey, I've been reading a lot about Kitty's " best " stats. Some people have the opinion Haste is the better stat to stack some say Mastery, some say cap Hit and Expertise now. All this talk has left me a little confused.
Pre 4.2, I like most Kitty's I assume reforged everything, Haste, Expertise and Hit into Mastery. From what I've been reading on various forums and a certain reforging site, they are advising me to cap Hit and Expertise. Is this true? In 1 patch did we really see a massive increase in stat weights for these two stats? On the other and I've also seen/read Haste has massively shot up the list in terms of something to reforge into.
I don't think I'm the only confused Kitty ( which is bad as I might start crapping in the dog's bed ) and think there will be many more people wondering the same thing
What is the best way to get the most out of your Kitty? Assuming play style being a massive part of it too,
Thanks for reading and hopefully someone will be my knight in shining armor and give me some answers!

Hey there Fantasia.
atm im stacking mastery / Crit on every gear. im not really focusing to getting hit capped or expertise capped on my druid beacuse consider that mostly you will be / should be behind the boss,
im Rerging so you always have Crit + mastery on all parts, and socket whit Agi gems etc, atm im doing 28-38k DPS depends on boss, so i do advise you to do as i have on my char ( check link )
but ofc im up for any other suggestions if htere are any out there, been looking a little myself on Paragon ferals doh they do go for haste etc, dont really se why, but a well, i hope this helps alittle for you =)
Peace Pizzdrunxy

Hey again here is the Kitty Stat list!!
Stat Priorities
Agility
Agility is the primary dps stat, it increases both Attack Power and Critical strike chance. DPS-wise, it is way ahead of every other stat, nothing comes even close to Agility.
Strength
Strength is a pretty good stat aswell, but it takes the spot of Agility on gear so you'll rarely need an item with Strength on it. It is essentially the same as Agility apart from the fact that it doesn't give any critical strike chance and it doesn't benefit from the leather specialization (+5%).
4.2: Strength is now pretty bad for cats as it only gives 1 AP per point, don't bother with strength items.
Mastery
Increases the damage done by our bleeds namely Rake, Rip and to a lesser extent Pounce. As cat, around 50% of our damage comes from bleeds, so Mastery is definetely a good stat.
Critical Strike
Increases the chance to get a critical strike from our abilities. All of them can crit including bleeds. Critical Strike also increases the likelihood to get 2 combo points on our combo-generator abilities. Pretty good stat overall.
Haste
Increases the speed at which you auto attack. Which means more Omen of Clarity procs (clearcasting). Haste also increases our energy regeneration rate. Haste does not reduce the time between 2 bleed ticks unlike most dots so it is only usefull for some part of our damage.
Hit/Expertise
Hit reduces the chance that any of your attacks will miss, and Expertise reduces the chance that any of your attacks will be dodged or parried by your target. Cats get 80% of the energy cost back of any special ability that miss (as in miss/dodge or parry). Add the fact that you have a 2 or 3 sec window to refresh your bleeds, so even if you miss a refresh you can still achieve 100% uptime with proper play. This basically means that hit and expertise are not our best stats, and you don't need to be hit-capped nor expertise-capped to do good dps. Both stats are pretty much equal in value.
In general the following rule applies for a cat:
Agility > Strength > Mastery Rating ~= Critical Rating ~= Haste Rating > Expertise Rating = Hit Rating
1 agility = 3.03 AP and 0.0031% crit
1 strength = 2.89 AP 1.44 AP
1 stamina = 15.582 health
1% crit = 324.85 agi or 179.28 crit rating
1% haste = 128.06 haste rating
1% hit = 120.11 hit rating
1 expertise = 30.03 expertise rating = 0.25% less change to dodge and/or parry
1 mastery = 179.28 mastery rating = = +3.1% bleed damage
Hope it helps you =)
