Wild Mushrooms

Hi Druids of paragon!
I just have a quick question regarding the Wild Mushroom spell: Is it at any time benefiting to your DPS to plant and detonate mushrooms during stationary single target encounters instead of just following the wrath/starfire rotation (whichever eclipse you are in)?

Only at the start, or to slow single target adds at forexample Ragnaros :P
