"Heart of Flame" Legendary quest

Hello, I have been reading a lot of posts of people complaining about this... I was wondering, how are you guys dealing with it?

From what I understand, when you have the quest to get the 250 essences + Heart of Flame, you also get a debuff which makes it impossible to kill heroic ragnaros with (or way harder at least)

is this true? is Diivil sitting out for ragnaros because of this?

I'm still collecting cinders but I will be getting them done before this weeks Ragnaros. We deal with it by me not being in the raid.

That is so stupid, the player getting legendary is not able to raid lol? very poorly designed

It seems there have been a stealth nerf to this quest in heroic mode. Envy reported that they recently killed HM Ragnaros with a warlock on the quest in the raid, and the debuff/abilities did not occur. Just thought I'd give a heads up for Diivil in case he's ready to collect the heart and ends up sitting out again :)
