Hello guys, my 10 man group recently started working on heroic Ragnaros and I would very much appreciate some help since we are going nuts with the molten seeds phase.

So my question is, did you guys use the same strategy for 10 man as you did for 25? did you just aoe them down after spawning them on the same spot?

Imo you just need to use Method's tactic in 10man, because AOE on the same spot as Paragon did in 25man will require a tone of AOE dps which i don't think is possible or it will required very specific setup just for the seeds which again is not optimal.

I think most of the guilds will follow Method's tactic for the seeds in their 25man since it's more set up flexible.

Paragon's way to handle seeds are an excellent example of thinking "out of the box" but it is very set up dependat which most of the guild simple can't afford.

Just my two cents.

Cheers,

Kallia

If you can stack the seeds with your group, you can still do moderate amount of AoE to take them low on HP and then be spread out and tackle them individually. The AoE requirement for 10M doesn't really require much "class stacking", as you only have 8 Molten Elementals to worry about which don't cap your AoE abilities (20 Elementals in 25-man cap AoE spells hard, making them only 50% effective.)

If you feel like you can do it like us, it's easily worth trying as it allows you to get more DPS time on the boss, and in 10M you will have time to spread out if your AoE fails and the Elementals won't deal too much damage. You can also do a middle-ground strategy where you stack the Seeds and then spread out and do whatever AoE you can to take them as low on health as you can. If you're lacking in coordination/timers to stack the seeds or you feel like AoE doesn't work for you at all you can go for the "Method" strategy of tackling them individually - it's a bit easier to organize in 10M where you have a lot of room to maneuver in without worrying about the Elementals getting stacks :)

Here's a tip that works in either strategy: Make sure you have addons that give warnings when you have aggro from anything, and you will know if no Molten Elementals are fixated on you - in which case you don't have to worry about getting attacked by them, and you can focus on helping those that are likely to need help (ie. Healers.)
