I realize that some of my Ragnaros-specific questions may not be answered (for good reason) until the next few heroic kills, by which time you'll be able to openly discuss your strategy and release your kill videos.
However, I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where we could hear some of the Paragon DKs perspectives on this latest tier of content.
Here are some questions:
Q1. Overall, how did you find most of the Firelands HMs from a DK DPS perspective? In terms of mechanics (not numbers), do you feel that one spec is favored more over another? Do you also factor in things like raid utility (such as AMZ or Chilblains) when making such a decision?
Q2. A few days before 4.2 premiered, Synti posted about Unholy's strengths in Firelands (here I talk from a purely numbers perspective because my previous question already asked about mechanics/utility) based on his PTR experience. Do you still believe that Unholy ranks higher than Frost currently on that front? Many parses show DW Frost doing more damage, but I am curious to hear it from your perspective.
Q3. You used 4 DPS DKs in your heroic Ragnaros kill. Were all of them Frost? Synti, I notice that you are 2h Frost on your armory. Is this because the numbers from the 391 2h weapon (Skullstealer Greataxe from Shannox) beat out 2 of the 378 Obsidium Cleavers for DW Frost? Or is there another reason?
Q4. What are your thoughts on Unholy and Frost scaling with Firelands gear? Many people are saying that Unholy's scaling issues (weapons aside) have been largely fixed by the Unholy Might buff. Do you agree with this?
