Hi there,
as first vidz and streams pop up, we can see that Domo's cleave can be taken by a single palatank.
The thing is that i don't understand how to do this.
So that's why i post.
I've been thinking in various way : pets helps taking part of the cleave (what about pets that always rush beside the boss), or a mescl of CDs (pain sup + angel; gardian + "ardent défenseur"; etc...)
may smo could help me understand this mechanic?
thank you

I guess what Kalou means, and if there is no answer yet maybe the post actually needs some details...
Here is the matter : on Majordomo 25HM videos, we can see several guilds have chosen (dunno wether there is a best solution or not) to manage the Flame Scythe differently than in Normal Mode. The inflicted damages seems to be too high to be suffered by the whole raid so HL guilds had to get others ways if they wished survive.
Among these ways, obviously including healing and defensing cooldowns, we can quote : pets sharing the cleave damages, ardent defender, guardian spirit, pain suppression, someone taunting the boss then dies, double shadow priest dispersion,... no shortage of ideas indeed.
But we'd like to know how the protpal can survive as long, while the raid stays behind Majordomo. The tank is still alive after each Flame Scythe, getting it single, as though there was always a huge defensive cooldown available. Which is clearly impossible.
Could anyone explain us the trick ?
Thanks,
Grougrou

In heroic, you get a growing energy bar similar to the boss' adrenaline. For every 25 you get (out of 100) you get 25% damage and healing. It is removed if you take any damage though. That's why, during scorpion, the raid would not soak the scythes.
Thats from a comment on a heroic youtube video, seen it somewere else aswell.

I am a prot tank and this is how i survive scorpion cleave. we still havent killed him yet , we are learning till. But it has worked so far good for me.
Since we do not have priest heal (for bubble)in our raid this is how we do it.
we engage boss in scorpion form and i use my Ardent defender for the first cleave. even though his cleave is something like 2M damage i will get healed to 15% health by using ardent defender. We spread out once he reaches 50% rage before he cleaves for the second time. We let him stay in cat form for like 7-8 stacks depending on the raid damage. then we would stack and force him to take scorpion form. this time we use Guardian of ancient kings + divine protection(with glyph) + 2 shadow priest using disperse to share the cleave damage. once he is done with his cleave spread out. then stay in cat form for 6-7 stacks again and then stacks again. By this time ur Ardent defender will be up and u take the cleave alone this time without any one stacking on tank.
Keep this rotation and tank will not die at all for cleave damage. The only drawback i have seen by this mechanics is that I will not have any CD at all except my holy shield in cat form and more over tank should be the only one taking damage in cat form so all heals would be on you.
I have seen few videos where they stay stacked for atleast 2 cleave by using priest bubble for tank + pain suppression.
You need the dps to save more stacks to put in more damage as the boss sits with ~458M HP. if ur dps takes damage during cleave there is no way u will kill him before he one shots tanks in cat form

well, thx a lot for your explaination, that was exactly the type of answer i was expecting for :)
may a gardian angel, and a smitted bubble from a disci priest would be great as well :)
have fun IG.

Well we had a few progression on majordomo this week. We pushed him to enrage timer twice but he was stil having 18% health when he enraged.
This is what we did,
scorpion 1 - Ardent defender for swipe 1
scorpion 1 - Divine guardian + guardian of AK + priest disperse for swipe 2
spread out for cat form then let him get 6-7 stacks then stack for scorpion with seeds this time.
scorpion 2 - Divine guardian(glyphed) + shadow priest for swipe 1
spread out for cat and again 6-7 stacks if possible and then stack for scorpion
scorpion 3 - divine guardian(glyphed) + priest disperse for swipe 1
scorpion 3 - ardent defender for swipe 2
spread out for cat and try for 4-5. most of his leaps will one shot people if people dont move out of leaps and you will have orbs this phase
scorpion 4 - Divine guardian + guardian of AK + priest disperse for swipe 1
spread out for cat 4-5 stacks before the group stack again for seeds this time.
scorpion 5 - Ardent defender alone
Final cat before enrage. If you dont kill him in less than 20 seconds it think, he would enrage and grape your tank first then one after the other
We had 2 perfect execution this week and both the time only 2-3 people died i guess and the whole raid was alive when he enraged and both the times he was at 20% and 18% health. So we need to work on his scorpion form i guess so that the we put in more dps and beat him before enrage timer.
So this is what my question is for those guild who have killed him.
Are we doing anything wrong in his transformation. Please reply with the CD rotation/stacks in each cat/scorpion form or let us know if our dps should be avoiding so and so damage to max his/her dps to kill him.
Thanks
