I don't honestly understand how that video is supposed to open my eyes why Finland's government should provide a support package to Portugal. I've heard about the Portuguese help sent to Finland during ww2, but there has been some evidence that there possibly wasn't any help in the first place. If the help existed, The value would've been from 200 000 to one million euros in today's market prices and the loan Portugal wants is around billions.
A couple of links about that:

I recently read an article about Portugal having a nice gold storage worth of approximately 14 billion euros. Why is it not being sold if the situation is so dire?
http://www.iltasanomat.fi/ulkomaat/port ... 82940.html
Also a former leader of Argentine central bank believes these European loans to be a part of a pyramid scam.
I've no idea what to think about that, but the guy claiming that certainly has some merit.

I personally don't have an opinion about this matter since I'm not an expert nor do I have good enough idea about the consequences, but these links are some interesting read.

"14 March 1940, the day after winter war ended, the SS "Greta" was left to carry Portugal to Finland 19 902 boxes of sardines, 956 boxes of onions, 157 boxes of canned fish, 27 boxes of pineapple, and one box of each: rubber thermal water bags, sweaters, and skis."
This stuff wasn't worth even 1 million Euro, and now you ask for 1000 million Euro. I call that fine deal ^^
Its sad Portugal is having this kinda problems and next whos wanting money is italy and spain what i heard/read from news.
My opion is i cant say yes for this money "bailout" because its not going to portugal peoples, its going to cover those greedy politicans / banks.
And im sure "if" Finland votes NO you will get those moneys from others if german dont vote NO too.....
PS. i heard portugal got lots of gold stored, why not sell those first if you need money and then ask money? This is what i dont get :P
Im sure we got many different opions about this "bailout" in guild ^^

It's funny to see the fins complaining that the help we gave them was small and therefore they own us nothing, we gave what we could without asking nothing in return, and that is better than nothing, you were not the only country in need during WW2. Just so you know you are the only country in Europe which has doubts to vote yes, if someone gonna be kicked out of EU is you. You speak about this loan as if you were giving it all by yourselves, newsflash your country is just a inconvenient little nail, what you would give would be insignificant comparing to other countries. And as for the gold, yes portugal was and despite having sold some consider amount of it, still is one of the countries in the world with the most gold reserves, thing is EU doesn't allow the selling of that gold to solve the problems at hand for various reasons that would take ages to explain to you.
In any case this all thing is just pure egoism from finland, rumor has it that even the nazis up there used this situation to gain votes on the last elections. Now go commit suicide like a good fin that you are.

Even tho I am personally in for giving the help, I'd like to see it being cancel'd just because people like you. To see your pathetic rage could be worth of seeing euro going down hard.
And the way you post here, sadly it tells more about you and Portuguese people then it tells about Finns at the moment
Hating with passion
