If you have the diseases dropping off every once in a while, you can opt to gear for a bit more expertise. It might help with your rotation a bit. Other than that, just go whack on a dummy for a while - you're just probably not keeping it as tight as it should be. The diseases last for 21s and you should be able to refresh them every 20s. Simply sub one BS for a pestilence (you probably know this, but a lot of people came in-game all of a sudden to ask me about this).

On the glyph choice, it doesn't really matter that much. The difference is incredibly minor in any case between ghoul and death coil. If you have plenty of druids in a raid with revitalize, go for the DC glyph if you think your ghoul won't die and you can micro it away from stuff that can kill it. If you have problems with ghoul dying sometimes (and perhaps don't have quite that many druids in a raid), go with the ghoul glyph.

Yeah. I've found that I actually have no issue in managing the rotation if I open up with PS, IT, HS, Pest and then continue my normal rotation +gargoyle and by the time I've finished I pest again with about .4 seconds or so left on my diseases. Whereas if I just do my normal rotation and then try to follow up with refreshing diseases in time I tend to just screw everything up for the duration because I have to BT by that time to make the refresh in time.

It just seems like a waste of an initial rotation to pest so early. I haven't been able to test it in raid format, though so I could be wrong.

Anyway. Thank you for the help. I appreciate it. I'm sure I'll get it down eventually.

Keep in mind though that if you keep rolling the initial application of your diseases that way, they won't benefit from desolation. It works both ways. 8]

zYN,

Thanks for the replay m8. I am looking at the options and I hadn't considered going back to the GoD, but your arguements are convincing. The only other question I have is, if I keep GoDD (my ghoul rarely dies) and ask a raid druid to revitalize me (we also have priest that specs the shield for the same thing), how much harder is it to manage DC to keep it below rune capping? Right now the rotation feels really tight and I worry that adding the extra RP might cause issues. Once again thanks, as I had neglected AMS and BT throughout the fight (although I typically use BT to refresh bone shield so I dont screw up my rotation).

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I'm sure I'll find something.

One thing I'm a little confused about, though is how exactly would more expertise be helpful in my rotation? I'm already well over the soft-cap as a DPS.

Yeah. Well, then it won't help at all. I didn't see you link your armory in the original post, I figured you might be getting some dodges and whatnot which might cause a small delay if you're using a set rotation, which in turn might make your diseases fall off.

Also, if you're going with GoD (and ToT/cinderglacier procs), it's probably better to skip the reaping spec and 2xT10 and simply use 4xT9. Once you get the four part bonus on T10, then the reaping spec and set bonus becomes the better choice. This held true for me atleast - I checked it with the ilvl 258 T9 gear I had compared to 251 T10. Most likely it'll hold true for you as well.

Without GoD, the 2xT10 (with reaping) should come out on top though.

Not really that much. At some points you might have some RP overflow, but you can try and minimize it. With GoD and Reaping, you'll have two extra GCDs for each rune set in the 20s cycle - it shouldn't pose problems. Even if you overflow, you're going to do a bunch more damage when compared to not getting revitalizes and good AMS absorbs. It's all just free damage.

Well I also tried a little bit with the GoD Glyph (without reaping) and didn't notice any dramtical dps downturns in comparison with some other DKs. In my opinion the rota becomes a little bit easier because you only need one spell to keep up your diseases and in diffrent boss fights with a lot of running (prof for example) I tended to reroll my diseases with pestilence just before running (which of course would also be possible without GoD but costs you more time).

After some gear upgrades I switched back to the "standard jerks version" to again investigate my dmg output but for my next raid I will also go back to GoD becaue I kind of like it more then without. I think I will also replace my Ghoul Glyph because my ghoul never has any reouccuring problems with getting killed while fighting bosses in icc.

Oh well and of course GZ to your lich king kill. Hardmodes will be an interesting race although... well ensidia will be one week back I think... But nethertheless: Gogo ;)

Hey zYN,

First of all thank you for taking the time to help everyone out. Don't see that to often on the server I'm from.

My toons name is Siq, I'm from Uther - Alliance. I'm just looking to see if you can help me further my dps as well, just like everyone else. My guild is happy with what I put out compared to every other DK they have seen app. I've been with them for about four months now but I personally am not happy with my dps knowing that I could be doing more.

I have a WWS report from Festergut this week while I was trying the 14/0/57 spec (I was bad and didn't spec into outbreak which I did not realize until today actually haha) and my SS's were a bit low on this attempt which I am aware of as well.

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/emey ... 523&e=2787

My rotation that I've been using is Army right before pull, BT/BS macro while running in, DC as well then IT – PS – BS – BS – SS – DC – HoW
SS – DC – SS – SS – DC – And another DC if the RP is there.

My glyphs are GoD - Dark Death - Ghoul

Anything you could possibly do to help I would greatly appreciate.

Here is my Armory link.

The t10 helm is new. Just put it on last night. I usually wear t9 iLVL 258 helm for the expertise cap.

Yet another DK Question. (There seems to be so many)

Hello, and thanks for reading.

Currently I am a main tank for my 10-man guild, (strict) and I know you folks are 25 man based but I figured I'd give you guys a shout out for help.

I main tank, but I also have a dps off spec that I try to keep pretty up to date, and try to stay in competitive dps for my gear level.

To start off. I was DW frost, because the spec is fun. For me at least, but then I started to poke around and had a lot of reference to Unholy doing to well now. So I respec'd and used the only good 2hander I still had, which is the Citadel's Enforcer from Marrowgar10. (Currently found a group to let me into Marrowgar10, for the chance at the axe *crosses fingers* because I'll never see Shadow's Edge).

Armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... n=Dardanos

I follow your rotation you guys have posted about your Unholy DKs, and use the 17/0/54 spec since I don't have the 2pc t10, and I won't for awhile. Tank stuff comes first. :)

The only fight I have that has any thing close to a decent showing of DPS was Sarth3D which we zerged and I pulled about 5.6k, I think. I pulled about 4k on a heroic dummy. (Do not like those combat dummies)

Also, I know I'm insanely over hit. Trying to fix that as well. I've also got the badges to buy my t9 chest piece, and have the gloves from Festergut10, to get back to the expertise cap. (Even though I've read it isn't as important for DKs to be there. )

Any comments are welcome. Thank guys.

Something else to ask I forgot. For gear I do have.

(I've got a Quel'Delar and a Frost Giant's Clever for DW)

Should I stay Unholy, go blood and regem for ArP, or go back to Frost?
