Geared Enough For DW Unholy?

Hello, i would like to start of by saying thanks to everyone who will help me with this.

Ok so currently i am doing the 7/31/3 Frost DW specc. I lie around 15-18k dps depending on the boss fight, i have read through quite alot of the DK posts and i am seeing that it seems you can push more dps as DW Unholy.

I have tried and i find it alittle bit tricky, or meybe its just that i dont have the haste etc etc. When i tried it out i used these rotations: Diseases > Dark Transformation > DnD*/SS if both Unholy and/or all Death runes are up > FeS if both pairs of Blood and Frost runes are up > DC if SD, 100 RP, will overcap RP with anything else or if RC isn’t up > DnD*/SS > FeS > DC > HoW.

With these rotations i am about 14-16k depending on the fight aswell.

Talents: 6/3/32

Stat Weights(That i used when respeccing unholy dw):
Strength > Hit to cap > Haste > Expertise to cap > Crit > Mastery > Agility

I have tried to get all good haste gear i can pick up. I am currently equiping it on armory, even doh they are reforged for frost at the moment. If there is any gear help etc you guys out there could help me with i would be greatly appreiciated, i am sorry if there is anything i have'nt added

Not really sure what you wanted to ask. If you asked whether or not you're geared enough for Unholy, well, yeah - there's no gear requirements for it. If you wanted to ask for loot advice, just get stuff that's of higher item level. Browse Wowhead or something similar for loot with optimal stats and do the necessary heroics to get them.

Really not sure what kind of help you were expecting.

Thank you for the reply, might have formulated the post alittle irrelevant. But as i have heard from other dk's on my server, DW Unholy is not usful as long you dont have top normal raid/some hc raid gear. That's why i've been rocking the frost dw lately. But i am going to give the dw unholy a few more shots and see if i can get some better haste gear along.

You should just not pay heed to what the guys on your server tell you, then. There's really no particular point in gearing from anything I've seen when Frost would be performing better than UH. Obviously, the usual stuff applies: If it's an AoE fight (up until the patch), Frost will rock. If it's something that UH is good at, UH will rock.

If you got the gear for Frost DW, you have the gear for UH DW. If you have a two-handed weapon of same item level as your DW weapons are, use the 2H.

I do have the Shalug'doom which most likely will appear useful when i go for unholy. But should i go for as much haste as possible?

As a rule of thumb, yes. Judging from your armory, you're not going to be doing something where a very specific sort of reforging of stats would be a very important thing.

Yes. And I can still spy on your raid progress, regardless of the gear you use.

Edit: DPS have been equipped so you may have a little peek at it, dunno how long time it takes for armory to upgrade.
