This is the first time I've ever gone to look at it and seen a big list of US guilds with no EU guilds on top. What happened?

1. The USA get the patch before EU
2. This week is only normal modes, no hardcore guild cares about that.
3. They clear it during this week at some point, and next week it is World First Race time.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I just assumed that the race to world first started as soon as the patch was released.meth wrote:1. The USA get the patch before EU

That is a very popular misconception which also lead me to write a small blog here on the Paragon page today. Since hardmodes cannot be accessed before the instance is cleared on normal, the race starts one week after the patch went live. During this week Paragon and other top guilds will just casually go through the new raid and probably clear it with multiple groups so that their alt chars are also ready for hardmodes.
