  • From the researcher desk: How do we define 'elite' raiding guilds?

What is an elite raiding guild?

If you've ever spoken to me about my research, you know that I’ve been speaking with raiders from all sorts of backgrounds and rankings. This is helping me document the most complete picture of what we are doing in the raiding community and how we like to pursue our love of raiding. In addition to casual, social, hard core, and high-level raiding guilds, I’ve also had a chance to speak to quite a few of what I call the ‘elite raiding guilds’ about their experiences.

  • Dreamhack with Nordrassil Radio and Total Biscuit

As you know, we'll be heading to Sweden in a bit more than a week to attend Dreamhack. This summer, we'll be of course meeting people at the event, enjoying the warm weather (inside) and of course raiding at Asus + SteelSeries booth. This time we are honored to have Nordrassil Radio and Cynical Brit with us at the event doing coverage and of course, commentating our live raid.

  • Arena Pass: Week 3 Ladder

It's again time to take a look at Arena Tournament ladders. My first concern was how my team, shadowlulz was doing compared to winter is coming. Seems like I didn't pick that good, since winter is coming is leading with 8 rating. I hope boys can get it together before the end of the challenge, or I have to pay my and arx's food for one week. I still have faith in the team tho, after all they have a warlock and a shaman which seems to be the key to success. Also, 2 of the same class shouldn't work that well together, shouldn't it?

  • Arena Pass: Victory!

The sweat was pouring on xenophics' forhead as she waited in the preparation room of Blade's Edge arena for her first real battle. The staff felt heavy on her back and she didn't feel comfortable in her new combat robes. "Ou mai gaad jubeto, mitä me tehää?" she whispered in her native tongue to her companion, a strong and quiet orc warlock Jubeto. Luckily the spellcaster had words of comfort for the nervous troll: "We do what we always do, kill the skull and fear the cross".
