Ok, even though Cataclysm is more undemocratic lore-wise, than the previous expansions (with even more tension between the two factions with the new Warchief and all) I still think it’s time for us to actually map how we, the players, actually perceive and interest ourselves in democratic values and norms. Are we as a whole more interested in what goes on around ourselves in both the real world society as well as on the servers? Are we more found of democracy than non-players? These are questions previously unresearched in the academic world and it’s time someone took the initiative to really measure these kinds of things and guess what? You could be a part of that initiative!

In order to map how World of Warcraft affects these different variables I have created a survey that will measure different democratic values as well as how these different values are affected by the game. But in order for me to conduct this research and draw any conclusions, I need You to answer the survey! And luckily for us all, the survey will only take about 5 minutes to complete and you can find it right here:

So do what many other guilds already have done (including Paragon) and just click the link and start answering away, help me out with my research about political science and World of Warcraft and together we might be able to present some ground-breaking results!

Remember, you as members of the World of Warcraft-community are unique and your answers can not be replaced by someone else’s.
