Recently me and a guildy were arguing about which tank is better, Prot Warrior or Feral Druid. When he asked me, "why is feral druid better then prot warrior?", I had no idea how to answer him. All I know is most top end guilds use the Prot Pally/Feral Druid comp.
Is there any reason you use a feral druid over a prot warrior on most fights? I'm guessing it's just for fights where you need to squeeze every bit of dps you can get out of the raid.

Feral's much better dps is a big bonus as you said. With agi gems and dps reforges you can easily off tank in bosses like Baleroc and Ryolith. Gearing up used to make a bigger difference before but it's still nice to get loots easier during progress when you have one tank picking up all items for plate tanks and a druid picking up leather and agi rings/necks.
Innervate and combat res have both been nerfed pretty heavily but before Cataclysm both of those were pretty huge deal.
