Hi Warlocks of Paragon!

I would appreciate if you could help me with a couple of questions guys. The 1st one is: If Mastery is the most important stat for us (after Sp and Int), then why not using H·Necromantic Focus instead Rune of Zeth? This, because I've seen many people using RoZ with H·VPLC. I use H·NF with H·VPLC, because of the "eternal" +433 Int and +444 Mastery, with RoZ you would just have +153 Mastery and +1277 Int each CD.

And the 2nd is: When should I use DS when opening a fight, before the dots (Immolate, Corruption, Shadowflame, Bane of Doom) or after them? The rotation I've found so far most fast & powerful is: Immolate+Corruption > Shadowflame, then activate DS and then Meta > HoG+BoD > Immolation, and start spamming Incinerate. So, my doubt comes if I should activate DS as I am doing it now or before those spells? Or none of the previous options.

I'd really appreciate any help from you guys, thank you in advance.

Firstly, I am not a Paragon lock. However, here is my opinion. For one you should be using the Chalice or start your dailies to get it. It is a most powerful trinket and can technically be "abused" so to speak. It has a 20 sec use time but if you run it say 17-19 seconds then pop Meta it will last another 46 seconds due to the fact that Metamorphosis "snap-shots" your mastery value, and we all know how VALUABLE mastery is especially when in Meta form. So in the mean time VPLC and Chalice would be BiS until you can get DS trinks. RoZ has an approximate 319 Static Intellect value if used on CD. So that should answer your question about RoZ VS Necromantic Focus. And even so, DMC: Volcano is still technically better than H Necro focus due to the fact that it scales and can crit, but there is a very minute difference and either is sufficient.
The Proc on DMC: Volcano gives you 1600 Int.

1600 Int is affected by both Kings and your 5% Int specialization Bonus, making it 1764 Int.

1764 Int on a 45 second ICD with 5 seconds built in for Proc time makes this equal to an average 1764*12/50 = 423.36 Int.

423.36 Int = 423.36 Spellpower Plus a Crit Rating = to:

(423.36/648.91) = .652 % Crit or 117 Crit Rating.

So DMC:V =
321 Mastery (Reforgable into your best Secondary Stat)
423.36 Average Spell Power

This is how I open up most of the time and the priority I try to cast in. (Keep in mind I still open with felguard and whirlwind with him while i get all the other spells opened then I use the soulburn to bring out my Felpuppy, I do this to take advantage of the 15% haste increase and 10% Damage done with Fire and Shadow.) Also this reflects the 3/31/7 build where you use Incinerate as your new filler.
Soulburn (For the T13 4pc Set Bonus)
Metamorphosis
Demon Soul
Immolation Aura
Immolate
Bane of Doom (ONLY If target will be alive atleast 15sec)
Corruption
Shadowflame (When in melee range for that extra DPS boost)
Hand of Gul'dan
Soul Fire (This is your execute, do this at 25%)
Incinerate (The filler spell, use over Soulfire if molten core is proc'd)

If any of this is incorrect or you disagree, I am always open to the fact I could be wrong, =P so let me know!

You really want to cast Shadowbolt while pull countdown is coming, but I'm assuming you're doing that anyway. Also you might want to cast that immolate before activating your first meta as that cast could be spent on something more valuable during the damage increase and you're going to refresh it with HoG anyway. Cast your corruption before immolation aura, other than that looks like pretty standard opener.

Necromantic is terrible trinket since the stacking time is incredibly long which means you can't get the full benefit on meta without waiting for that 10+s or something, completely cripples your opening. I'm not sure how good zeth would be for non-engineers, but for engineers having 2 on use trinkets on top of gloves which cannot be activated at the same time is terrible compared to having a proc trinket, besides volcano is better so why'd use it in the first place? The second trinket you should be using is moonwell chalice untill you get access to some DS trinkets and 4 t13.

Goddamn, this fissure skill is inaccurate.
