Ti´Tahk, The Steps of Time over VolcanoSpike/Molten Scream?

Hello since I won my new staff from Madness of Deathwing,I´m smashing my head against the wall to figure out which may be the best combo to me.

With this new staff I´m aware that my spell power increases, plus 50 intellect. I wonder how much stats I will lose.

My main spec it´s Demonology.

I did some math and those stats will decrease:

Volcanospike Hc / Molten Scream Hc

Hit Rating:- 281
Critical Strike: - 176
Haste Rating:- 139

Volcanospike- I reforged haste/mastery
Molten Scream - I reforged crit/mastery.

At the moment i have 16,78% hit rating, with this new staff I can´t reach hit cap but I know isn´t crucial. My armory shows wrong stats.May be bugged? Ingame I have 1588 haste rating, 17,77 mastery.

What I would like to know if this new staff can be a dps increase.

It isn't worth the loss of secondary stats. Normal Lightning Rod will be a dps increase, the heroic version being BiS if you don't have access to legendary.
