Hey locks, I've had a bit of trouble determining when to recast haunt and its because I cant seem to nail down a consistent travel time when doing my research.

Is my toon for haste reasons. I'm just trying to find a decent sweetspot for when to recast haunt without losing too much dps.

I'm using this rare gift called Perstuntuma, I'm sorry but I can't translate that to English since there is no synonym to it. (for as far as I know at least!)

Goddamn, this fissure skill is inaccurate.

Perstuntuma means kind of "he is just so familiar with the mechanic he knows the travel time by instinct".

Perstuntuma = he can feel it in his arse.

Optimizing Haunt usage to me never really produced significant DPS boosts, affliction DPS was just always so random with the set bonus proccing (or not) etc. If you're late on it and get an additional dot tick or two because of that without the haunt effect, I'm pretty sure it'll be a bigger loss than if you had Haunt perfectly landing at the last millisecond in the next 5 encounters combined.

So basically just use haunt off cooldown then?

I use it so that it lands on time before the effect expires, not taking huge risks with it.

Might want to wait and see what the other people do. That's just my personal preference.

You can cast 1 or 2 spells from max distance after haunt comes off cd (assuming you start to cast at the exact moment haunt comes off cd), if you have no haste effects active you'd better not cast 2 shadow bolts as you probably end up having haunt wear off for a brief moment.
