Holy Pally replaced?

So today i was replaced by a restoration druid in my guild because my raid leader who is a holy priest was getting mad at me for not pulling enough hps through raids... It's very frustrating when they are comparing me to a resto druid and a holy priest currently my raid Hps are, Druid top with 14khps, Priest with 12k, And me with 9-10k. And they are complaining that i need to step up my healing. Even though healing IS NOT a problem in raids. So now i'm looking for a new guild because i got replaced for druid... i told my raid leader that he is comparing me to PURE aoe heals, and yet he till calls me a baddie and step my sht up.... in the middle of raids.. Please let me her you thought's on this. I think my healing is fine, but obv holy pally's can't heal the raid likes priests or druid.. Please give me some feed back on this.

Your best bet is to find another guild that will actually take value for a holy pally at what they're worth. No holy pallys cant compare aoe healing to a druid/priest/shaman. In fact in my 25m's our 3 holy pallys (I'm one of them) get beat at hps usually and 90% of the time get beat in healing done. 90% of that time we're assigned to tanks to heal and help raid heal with light of dawn & radiance when the time is appropriate. Your healing is just fine. I see some holy pallys knocking up to 11k hps but I almost gurantee you they are oom'ing within 2 minutes of the fight by wasting mana, over healing more than neccessary & raid healing. Awesome they get good hps and top the healing done, but if they're ooming to fast they're as worthless as a dead tank which will probably be dead in a few seconds anyways.

Best bet is to find another guild, your hps is hardly ever going to compare to an aoe specced healer (holy priest, disc priest smiting, resto druid, or even resto shaman now). This is only one opinion so feel free to wait for more and see what they say. I bet most will agree with me here

LOL two things to consider, you are doing 2k less hps than the druid and holy priest. I bet they can't provide the cooldowns you can, aura mastery is one of the most overpowered raid cooldowns in the game. Any healing officer who compares healing progress to HPS is an idiot anyway if you are closing in by 2k hps you are doing your job. Healing cannot be judged by meters because like the person above me said you could burst out 16k hps and oom and they would be happy but the encounter would probably be harder. Just move on to a different guild, one with less judgement about things that don't matter.

There are only a few bosses with enough aoe healing to guarantee that druids and priests top paladins, so you could definitely do better.

I really hate to argue here but I think just about every fight requires a good intense amount of aoe healing.

Magmaw - Lava spew
Tron - ...everything?
Maloriakk - frozen, breath, nova, Jets (idiots in other words)
Atramedes - Most of the aoe damage happens during p1 but its not intensive so my argument is invalid on this fight
Chimaeron - Feud pretty much
Nef - Havent experienced first hand but cant argue with the end boss

Halfus - Unless its heroic not much here unless your not releasing whelps or time warden
Twin drakes - Not much here, blackout, meteorites
Council - Not much here again, mostly avoidable stuff til p3.
Cho'gall - Not much til p3. Pop radiance when he splodes (idk the name of the spell)

Conclave - Unless your on anshal or nezir not much you can do about healing aoe
Al'akir - p2 is heavy for aoe healing

You can always do better. Link your logs, that'll help us determine whats going wrong

For the most part all our guilds healers are sub-14k HPS. And we do quite fine. Up until the other night our druid has commanded the meters, only by a few percent. IMO, if you were replaced, but your guild wasn't having 'real' issues with your healing, then I agree, find a new guild. Or at least speak out to the GM, or the main appointed raid leader.
