After i changed my spec from a gimped mix spec i have started pulling some nice threat, single target and multi target. Since the vengeance mechanic was introduced, it is extremely important that you get a good pull. I would say preparation is the key.

This is my current spec, i have a massive aversion to reckoning, although i know some people take it. As far as glyphs go i just threw a few in. We dont have any particularly interesting ones, so they dont really matter, but obviously hammer glyph is pretty sexy for aoe tanking.

I keep Shield off cd for the next pull, have 3 stacks of HP for SotR on a 4th mob and then at least you have a few guaranteed mobs that can stack your vengeance so hammer hits harder (aoe taunt is pretty nice) but priority on hammer is important for aoe tanking because of the refresh on AS. Consecration seems a bit more potent when it is up, but its a shame it is on such a high cd.

Not much, but hopefully it helps.

Some misinformation has been posted, time to add clarification.

For single target, you should prioritize [email protected] > CS > J > AS (glyphed) ~ HoW > HW.

For AoE things are bit different, I personally found myself going AS > HotR > Cons > etc. depending on what stuff is going on.

For DPS / threat you obviously want a slow weapon.

Most powerful talents (DPS / threat wise) are: Wrath of the Lightbringer ~ Sacred Duty >> Reckoning ~ Seals of the Pure ~ Crusade ~ Grand Crusader > etc.. When going for threat, you should skip on none of these talents. Keep in mind that parry haste has been removed, so Reckoning no longer threats your survival.

Glyph of HotR currently doesn't boost the AoE (holy) part, so it's useless. Your prime glyphs should be GoSoT, GoSotR, GoCS. Some majors are moderately useful, but stay away from Cons glyph and (especially) Salvation glyph (which only removes threat temporarily, and doesn't prevent threat generation for its duration).

Edit: regarding self heals, Seal of Truth is more threat than SoI (and way more damage), but SoI isn't an unreasonable option when survival is dicey. Same goes for WoG, it's guaranteed to be less threat than SotR (even talented), but got its uses as well.

Edit2: found a cool expression for HoP abilities: <ability>@<HoP>, like [email protected]

Edit3: 4.0.3a fixed glyph of HotR, now it works for both physical and holy parts.
