@Xadons: Heroic Ragnaros CD Strategum + random questions.

Hello! My name is Bradykin, and my guild is working on H Rag. I was wondering if you could verify that some of the things i'm doing are correct, and answer a couple questions.

Cooldowns: I want to see if you have better timing for CD's then what i'm using right now:

Berserk on the pull, tiger's Fury on CD for P1 with every other buffed my Ancient Petrified Seed. Tiger's Fury + Berserk again on first wave of adds, and for p2 exclusively save Tiger's Fury for add waves (buffed by Ancient Seed). Tiger's Fury (without seed) in phase 2.5, then seed+tiger's+berserk+potion in p3, followed by normal click CD's on CD until p4 where I get to play whackaflame so i'm not doing anymore dps presumably.

The other 2 questions are more fine tunings of rotation.

A: Do you wait to use the full 50 energy for Ferocious Bite? Why and why not? Does this answer change based on potion, seed,tiger's fury, or berserk being present? I personally almost always do a full bite, unless I need a faster one for an urgent rip refresh sub 25%, or if I would be missing out of 5-10 energy to use it in one of the agi buffs or tiger's fury.

B: How exactly do you do your opener on rag? I personally potion+stealth at 1 second on pull timer, then Ravage ->Mangle ->Tiger's Fury+Ancient Petrified Seed+Berserk -> Rake -> SHred to 5cp -> Rip -> Shred to 4+ combo points -> Savage Roar, which gets both dots in the potion, seed, and tiger's fury.

Your CD strategy does look good. The most critical phases in the encounter are the second son phase and P3, where you need to burn the boss quickly to only get 1-2 meteors. I pop berserk in the beginning and next one when it's off cd, usually in the beginning of P2. We burn through rag too quickly for it to be ready at the first sons. Third berserk is saved for the P3 burn together with potion, seed, bloodlust etc.

And yeah, it´s good to save TF (and seed) for the son phases. I don't have to AOE the adds in P2, so I don't particularly save TF for them, usually I just pool up energy for a emergency swipe or two. But if you are in AOE duty it's of course prudent to save TF and seed for the adds. That phase is not about rag dps.

I don't usually save energy for 50 energy bite at >25% situations , because it's better to try to keep up rip/sr, so I try to max out combo generation. We still don't have quite enough haste/crit to reliably weave that many bites in. In sub 25%, it depends on the situation and temp buffs available, usually I do, but if SR (or Rip) is close to dropping I don't. No definate answer there really. Your opener for rag does look good.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering: do you have any video of your PoV for Rag? It would be a great resource for me to review. Also any other comments on how I could improve both my Ragnaros and general gameplay would be greatly appreciated.

No video from my PoV unfortunately. :( My comp is not good enough to run WoW with the detail level I want and fraps at the same time.
